After a 9 year absence of not making an AMV finally I've gotten inspired again to edit and come back to a hobby I've loved so much. It's just great being a part of this community and I can't wait to chat with you all. I'm happy to be here and I hope I can meet some new faces along the way.
So I've been in the AMV Community since 2002. The first 5 years up to 2007 I was busy editing away on AMV's. After being to critical on myself after creating Hunters or the Hunted, I was not able to complete an AMV. So after a year of trying to create a new AMV I decided to stop and focus on running AMV Contests.
My first AMV Contest I ran was at Anime Mid Atlantic in 2007. Since then I have been apart of Anime Mid Atlantic, Katsucon, T-Mode, and now Nekkocon.
I returned to editing in March of 2014. I really missed it and decided to give it another shot. So I got a computer set up like I had 7 years ago with my old programs so I could jump into it right away. It was a lot of fun. Then one of my studio members told me about Sony Vegas and how easy it was to use. So I decided to give it a try on my new laptop. My newest AMV which will be released later this month or in April will be the first using that program.
Overall since being back I've really enjoyed it. I continue to make AMV's that I enjoy, and I want to share that with other editors and viewers. As I have been reminded, make AMV's for yourself because if you don't then you'll lose your spirit in making them.
