[average 119.4 of 231850 opinions; standard deviation 432.1 ] - Profile: Some may know me, but most of you don't. I'm the one responsible for "AMV Technique Beat" (the reason I mention that one is because it's my most known AMV). I will probably never be famous or even well-known in the AMV-community nor will I ever get as much hits and ops to even get close to the top 10.
But that's not reason I'm making AMVs. I make AMVs because I love editing. Even though I did and still edit short movies, AMVs are a important part of my editing experience because of the following things:
1. I don't have to wait for footage to be shot (pre-production and actual production can take months)
2. Anime is pretty forgiveful in terms of continuity (things are as precise as live-action footage and because anime is more economical you you see the same clothes/sceneries/etc. come back a lot)
3. Anime can be easily manipulated, as in changed locations, coloring, etc. by compositing
3. I like the .org community
I started editing since my 22nd year and made my first AMV at the age of 24 - which is pretty old considering the average age of the editors here. Or even the average age of the good and the well-known editors here. But that doesn't matter: I've searched quite a long time for my passion, my creative outlet and even though I've tried a lot (from writing to making music to painting), editing is the one thing that I feel really confident with and I know I can do solidly.
My style? I have no real style and with that I mean that I try to adjust my style with what I try to tell. I think the last one is pretty important to do: to tell something. This doesn't have to be a story perse, but it might be a feeling/emotion or showing different aspects of a certain issue. I try to do something original though - something you either haven't seen before or haven't seen a lot around. And if it's already done then I try to expand the idea/concept.
As far as my videos go, I know a lot of people have their personal top-something of their AMV that you need to watch, but I don't really have a favorite of myself: because all of my AMVs are quite different from each other (might be worth to check every one out because of that), I will just order them in terms of mood for you. Just keep in mind that my first AMV wasn't a WMM one - I knew how to edit a few years before that.
