Now I know what you're thinking what kind of stupid Anime name is that? Well the very first Anime I got interested in was Dragon Ball Z so I labeled myself Goku (even though my favorite DBZ character is Vegeta) and my most favorite American Animated films of all time is "An American Tail" and "Fievel Goes West" I have loved those films since I was a kid. So I created a site that combined the two "GokuFievel" Also because it sounded like "GokuFrieza"
I have been interested in movie making and directing since I was a little kid. I used to be a child actor in professional plays, but I stopped acting when I turned 15 because I wasn't real good at it. I felt that I had a better ability to direct, edit, and write.
My brother got me into Anime in 1999 (I'm a Toonami Generation) Yes I know that all of you Old Schoolers look down on me like that...I know...I know, I know most of you have been into Anime since the 70's and 80's. I was just like every other American saying to my brother..."Stop it Mike this is a CARTOON! IT'S STUPID!" But I started to watch it and I got more and more into Dragon Ball Z.
However later I became a TRUE ANIME FAN because my brother lost interest in DBZ when Majin Buu came out (can't blame him) Later I got into Sailor Moon which my brother thought I was a freak for watching but I started getting a crush on those girls. Got a little bit into Pokemon, (just a little) and then I became a TRUE ANIME FAN once I saw RANMA 1/2, Tenchi Muyo, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I guess I've always been kind of a geek, I used to be a huge Star Wars fan...that is...UNTIL THE MOVIES STARTED TO SUCK!!! So when Star Wars let me down Anime became my new fix.
I had HEARD of Anime Music Videos before, but had never seen them until my very first Anime Convention in 2002. I made "Ryoga" based on a poem I wrote and parody of Weird Al's "Yoda" even though I still hadn't seen others before. Then at that small con I remember I saw my very first official Anime Music Video and of course it was the greatest AMV creator of all Aluminum Studios "Mercury Blue" Saw more AMV's at the Con and I got addicted to them...got tons of ideas then spent most of the rest of the year making several of my own.
I am a member of a local Public Access TV Station here in Idaho, that is where I have edited most of my AMVs during my free time. I have made many so far and have won about 3 of them in contests.
In 2005 even though I was still sort of a newbie to Anime by Old Schooler terms I got to be the Vice Chairman of the Anime Oasis Convention in Boise and got to host the AMV Events which was always my favorite to do.
I sure hope you like my AMVs I don't know how well they will fare up against the greats but to those I have shown them to they have liked them so far.
Oh, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR OPINIONS OF MY AMVS DOWN THERE!!!
Thank You!
