Please note that next week will be my last review. I'll have been doing this for a year, every monday, and although I missed a few reviews, I always had it covered and organized in advance. I've really enjoyed this, and hopefully as season 1 comes to a close, kionon who has expressed interest in season 2, can keep the momentum going.

21:08 <Kionon> I won't say it ellicits strong emotions from me; it doesn't. But it's fun.

21:12 <nunchuck> That is not horror! It's more like a love story^^ starting with a slow pase in the beginning and evolving to a dramatic climax ^^

21:13 <Kionon> It's a definite character profile, but despite the subject matter, it is clearly upbeat, almost dance.

21:14 <quadir> the outtro the most, that last scene of the nurse/whatever finishing the telling of her experience into the recorder

21:14 <nunchuck> when I first watched this video I waited for the anime a looong time until I found out that there will be none and that kind of fascinated me^^

21:15 <Kionon> It's a keeper, but mostly because it's great background. I'm not driven to watch it again, but it's fun, so I probably will.

21:16 <Kionon> If I had to equate it to journalism.
21:17 <Kionon> This is the story the nurse would tell if anyone actually managed to believe her.
21:17 <quadir> so in that way I find the video pretty interesting, since we're already seeing the events through another set of eyes
21:18 <nunchuck> I think it looses my interest after watching it too many times, because there is nothing you could actually see in a different way then you have the first time you've seen it

21:23 <quadir> but in this case he's giving you a sense of the place burning while they fight really well without having to get away from the fight itself

21:25 <nunchuck> I liked that the fire scene at 1:50 introduces you to the more colorfull part of the AMV because everything up to there was kind of dark and grey

21:38 <quadir> it really plays on the concept that if you beat match your effects, does it really matter what the footage is?
21:39 <quadir> and additionally, it says, can you remix anything? why does it have be conventional?
21:39 <quadir> and for me the two ascii people felt like what is in so many flash videos

21:40 <nunchuck> I liked End actually only because I have never seen something like it and that somebody could execute his idea so well was quiet entertaining! That's all though
21:41 <Kionon__> But it isn't an anime music video. Oh sure, we can argue that the technicality of throwing in the paper cuts at the end makes it one, but we all know what this editor was trying to do.

21:42 <quadir> he could of done this with any credit sequence for any movie, tv show, from anywhere, in any language. I think you need to move beyond that.
