You effect whores you

I liked some of it, the slower parts were more enjoyable for me than the DVD menu esque flying screens all over the place. One effect I loved, though, was near the end, where you had the sort of wavey blackness all over the screen, I thought it worked as both a mood enhancer and a flashy bit of eye candy.

Overall, tis a fun little vid, not much else to it though (which is perfectly fine).
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Actually, that was one of our goals as well... make an FX video but make it easy to watch and relaxing as well.

It felt a bit like "Hey this effect looks cool, let's use it" but as this was intended and worked in most places it goes alright

Drngd, didn't you say you accidentally deleted them a few weeks ago? :o

Anyway, upon reaction to the Pknives project; I liked the video a great deal. However, one thing that disappointed me from the beta was that I was hoping for things to go faster than they really were- and that more emotional scenes were used. You kind of just showed characters a great deal of the time, and the lack of story bothered me (As well as a lack of original effects at some points). My favorite part, which I absolutely loved, was at 02:21; this scene held more emotional background water than the rest of the video while still managing an effect that I hadn't seen before, and worked flawlessly. If the video had worked things faster beyond slow shots of characters, and instead used faster shots of emotional scenes (to time compress and simultaneously add some excitement), this video would be extremely excellent in my opinion.

But overall, I like this project a great deal. :)

Ooh.....

I'm not sure what's worse, that I get the joke, or that I find it quite funny.
