Heh, finally decided to give the profile a bit of a tweak...
So yeah, my career (if you can even call it that) of making AMV's began way back in 2001 when a friend (lilgumba) showed me a video comprised of Final Fantasy clips set to a remix of some orchestra music...when I originally saw it, I didn't think it was as good as it could have been and thought it rather plain in appearance, so I said to myself that I could probably do something better than that...Less than a week later I had made two Final Fantasy videos using Windows Movie Maker and FF clips found on the net. The first video (which was listed here for awhile but I'm not showing it anymore) was pretty archaic compared to the ideas I have now...and the second video (FF9 Michelle Branch's Everywhere) netted me second place at a local Anime Club (WOOHOO!!!)...I was so happy that I sought out to make more, ultimately falling flat with ideas that never panned out and videos that weren't really that great. A year later I came back to this site with new ideas, a little more knowledge of different anime and more resources in the form of ram and hard drive space...
So what am I up to now?
After finishing my Haibane Renmei video, Personal Velocity, I'm now looking forward to my next project. Since I'm all done with school I figure that I have a substantial amount of time to put into editing, only I'm not exactly sure what my next video should be. I'd like to think that I'd make another Haibane vid, but now I'm not so sure. In the meantime I found the REM multi-editor project to occupy my time for a while.
