That being said, I admit my video's have so far been FAR from perfect and they've been getting 3's. Heck one of mine is under half a minute long and the other under one minute long.

What's the point of this post???

What does it seriously take to get a video panned? It seems sympathy votes (to a lesser degree) and a suggestion you earnstly tried results in a middle of the crowd rating.

So what does it take for a video to REALLY tank and wish it could even come close to reaching 1 1/2 stars?

Seriously, cause I liked to know, not knocking my own video's or anything, I just find it odd

Don't be fooled by the OPs, on the days you can see the stars it's like at 2.2 with 169. Hahaha, I found it kinda funny though.

As most others have stated, horible quality video, subs, lack of synch, lack of story, repeated clips, lots of black space... all these things will get a 1 from me when combined in the right amounts.

Personally, i've given over twice the 1s as i've given 5s. A rough estimate tells me the 1s and 2s i've given outnumber the 4s and 5s. And this is saying something, since i've stopped downloading random videos in the last year. You want to see bad videos, download something totally random with a star rating of 3.5 or below. At least half of what you'll find deserves to be rated a 1.

*Jaw hits floor*

Man.... um.... someone has issues....

Isn't that one of the signs of a future Ted Bundy? Associating animals with evil?

The animation, all 5 seconds of it got VERY tedious.

Actually, it has to be worse than that. This grades out at 3.15, and should establish a baseline for the "not trying" class of videos.

Deliberately attacking the audience's sense of causality appears to be a better way down to the bottom of the barrel.

Not going to say much except that I'm basically on the same page as Bashar and the others. Even then, though it doesn't come up incredibly often. I mean, out of the 4697 Local videos I've downloaded, I've given 379 ones. That's really not too bad, when you think about it. That basically constitutes the percentage of people who just make AMVs to see a song they like with an anime they like.

considering i used to be very kind at one point and gave everyone a 4, i wont mention my star distro... it sucks... most of it is all 4s and im too lazy to go back and change it (i recently broke 4000 dls)...

i used to do that cause 1. i didnt care about the star scale, i just wanted more vids and 2. in my head i was evening it out for the people who leave all 1s... or something :/

either way yea :/

most of my star ratings now are based on weather or not i enjoied the video... i have a hard time enjoying a video if it has low ql subs and bad editing that makes no sense :/

I've also drastically slowed down, as dj_ultima has no passed my downloads by about 600 local.

though stolen footage (and i can recognize the source...) insta-1

This is the worst video I've ever done (but it was on purpose) and it still has 2.73. But God that's low for me.
