Too Much Anime [4397] Oct. 2003
In Your Arms [4149] April 2003
Animal Attraction [4046] May 2004
Reasons?
Well, the title of the first one should explain it. It has 105+ anime used in the video, so it shows up on searches a lot - plus my name starts with an A which helps put the vid toward the top of searches. I also got a handful of extra downloads recently because Phade showed the vid at some convention (not my idea). Otherwise, the date - it's been around for a while and downloads accumulate.
The second one...I really have no idea why people downloaded it so much. It's one of my very first amvs, poor quality, poor editing, poor storyboarding, wmm 1.0. And it's a yaoi video making pairings out of non-yaoi anime. And it's not humor. It uses 17 anime, so it does show up on searches, but not enough to explain the downloads. o.O
The third one is a funny multi-anime vid with a familiar song. It was also in the prelims for the vca the year it came out, so it got a handful of downloads from that. There's a weird mix of het and yaoi gags in the vid, fanservice for both sides - that probably helps get the link passed around. It showed on the top 10 list the last time I looked, so it still gets the occassional download. Like the first, I can see why this stat is high.
My fourth in line is yet another multi-anime comedy vid, Ego Trip. Considering it's a fairly recent video, the count is still going up. If I added in the indirect downloads, it would be second on this list. A month from now it would be the first.
Multi-anime plus humor is like a guarantee for downloads. Time plus multi-anime plus yaoi also seems to be good for hits...but maybe it's the song. That second vid really bothers me. I don't want so many people downloading it...it's in dire need of a thorough remastering at the very least. >.>
