Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Blame it on Inthesto

Post by dj_ultima_the_great » Thu Oct 27, 2005 10:56 am

Yes, you heard me. This is actually an older video of mine, but due to technical issues, I couldn't upload it 'til now. He helped me out, and here it is.

Games: various
Music: Chevelle - "The Red"
Title: Singled Out

Beat sync is decent, if a bit slow-moving. Not much of a story, although I do have lyric matching. Video quality isn't so hot, but that's partly because it's only my fourth video and partly because of using so many different games. Has some internal sync, oddly. One of my personal favorite videos of mine, though I'm not really sure why. Just something about it made me like it.

Comments are welcome. I'll probably jump the Exchange forum this weekend, if nothing else.

Thanks for reading and thanks for watching! ^_^

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

- Jen

PS: video might take a few minutes to show up. I typed this up while I was uploading.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought the song used in the video was "Blame It On The Radio" by John Parr.

On the other hand, some of us actually have a slice of that something called creativity.

I'm not a fan of multi-source VGMVs, but I'll cut you slack on the basis that the video's old.

And I'm glad to help regardless.

Let me start by saying... I fucking HATE this song.

And continue by saying nice lyric synch in several places, but it felt a little on the weak side in other places. And, the video quality wasn't good in places, but VG footage doesn't age well, to start with. And the cuts weren't quite up to par.

Ramones - I was actually thinking along the lines of "Blame Canada." :P

sto - always appreciated. I probably won't do too many multi-sources anymore. I'm gearing more towards story driven videos with single anime sources.

Tono - to be honest, I really don't listen to that song as much anymore. Maybe it's because I used it in a video. Also, thanks for the comments, and I really do agree with all of them. Over time, I've noticed quite a few flaws in this video. Oddly, it's still remained one of my favorites...

Getting help from inthesto on a video is like getting shinodude to spellcheck for you. I gotta wonder how horrible it was to begin with if he actually was any use at all.

My bad. It was two words. I read too fast.
