The video quality on R1 Boogiepop isn't exactly stellar, so instead of going crazy with Avisynth filters I decided to intentionally noise the video a little and add a reddish tint for that old film look.Roccket wrote:Yeah, creapy, and really well done. Excellent use of effects with the volontary noising of the video. The use of live action footage was also interesting.
I liked the fact it had a real story, which made the video attractive until the end.
I'm a big fan of the movie and wanted to create a similar feeling in the video. Slowly building "clean" horror is the most effective.IcyCloud wrote:Glad you've finally uploaded it. I really enjoyed it because it was the type of horror that genuinely creeps you out instead of just having buckets of gore or uber-violence. A very nice fit, and a good, solid vid. I'm glad it won.
So true. Rosemary's Baby is one of the scariest films ever made in my opinion. Off-topic: I hope you'll upload your Astro Boy video soon, I liked it a lot!WalterScott wrote:Brilliant use of Rosemary's Baby in the background. This was a memorable and very effective horror video. A reminder that birth can in its own way be as disturbing as death.
