Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Yay! Ever since I saw this for the first time in a signature, I've always wondered how the project was going to be done. Well, now I know, and damn am I impressed.
Not only did the creators pay homage to one of the best ending themes ever, but this would not and could not ever be considered a generic FF video - which, technically, it isn't...but it is...I think you understand.
Great, solid editing on each of the editors' parts. The whole video flowed very smoothly and with hardly a hitch, if any at all.
To be honest, I haven't seen any of the anime in it, but I can tell that each of the characters were cast well from what little I do know of each series - especially Mokona. That was perfect. Also, I haven't played FFVI either - I just started it a few days ago, coincidentally - but I've seen the whole game from my brother, so I know all of the characters.
All in all, this is something to be proud of, and if this video doesn't win some awards somewhere then the judges are on crack or something. This is one of the best video concepts and executions of 2005, for sure.
Kickass. I loved it. ^_^ *cheers on the creators*

PS: one question, and I suppose that this is directed more at Burntoast, since it was his section. Did you take D's horse into consideration as playing the role of Interceptor, or was that some brilliant coincidence? Either way, it was the perfect choice.

Oh man, excellent work! Every single track was very well edited and I couldn't pick a bad one out of the bunch if I tried. Excellent work with the credits as well, how long did it take to do that special sprite work?
Definitely going on my psp!

The "FFVI-anime" sprites took a few weeks to get done at about an hour or so each day.Castor Troy wrote:Oh man, excellent work! Speaking of which, if anyone wants to have a copy of any of those sprites I can upload as avatars or as JPEGS. Just ask.

This is definitely an AMV for fans of FFVI, there's no denying. I don't think I could have finished watching if I weren't familiar with the game. Some specifics...
Great move with Kakashi, I must say.
SephirothJenova did a good job with Terra, but I think it was mostly the choice of who to use that made that part gold. I think Terra's was my favorite. Good job, editors.
Great move with Kakashi, I must say.

What are you talking about? It's not a super long wait if you're downloading at 38.6kbs...I'm downloading at 4.0kb and it'll be done in 6 hours. You should be done in what, like 30 minutes?Onimura wrote:Damnit! Why did you have to realease it when I just got out of town! Now I'm running on internet that goes 38.6 kb/s.
Is it worth waiting the super long time to get it, or should I just wait until I get home?
