Out of idle curiosity, do you mean "effort" as in "I have to strain my brain to do this, really think long and hard about the process and the possible outcomes, put my heart and soul into this task" - or do you mean "effort" as in "it takes for-bloody-ever to do this effect, and wow is it tedious beyond belief, I should get paid to spend this much time doing something that will last for under two seconds in the finished project, jeeze I wish it were over"?Pyle wrote:...in my experience, making effects takes around forty times the effort it does to make a good story.
Effort does not equal time.
It's easy to do tedious work. Actually *creating* the effects, coming up with the concept of the effects - that would take effort. Putting them into practice with the busy-work, that's just time.
