  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Otaku Vengeance Productions: Face Your Destiny

Post by DarkXPower » Mon Apr 12, 2004 10:32 am

Some of you (if you were into AMVs 3 years ago) might remember this video, it was originally made it 2000. Since I have returned to the AMV world I still always felt this was my best work and I wasn't satisfied with the quality anymore. It took me only about 3 weeks to remake it. I experimented with different things but decided to keep it the same for the most part. If you weren't around 3 years ago (and im sure most of you weren't) then now is your chance to live the past for a few minutes.

Anime: Street Fighter 2 the Animated Movie
Band: Face to Face
Song: I wont lie down (Kombat Mix)

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Second video I've seen with that song, and it was done almost the exact same way as the first, just with different animes. It was alright, timing was right on, but there was something about it...Maybe no definite theme, that hinders it a bit.

Editing is tight a lot of the time, fight sequences are done nicely, although they do get repetitive and old quickly. The lack of any real depth is a downer though. Good action, but that's about it.

Downloading now.

Well i did a search to look for this video and there are 22 videos listen for just this one song...ugh, i duno where to begin, do you happen to remember the anime used? Maybe your thinking of my old version of the video? Cause when you say "almost the exact same" im wondering if someone just ripped of old video or what...

Maybe im just simple minded, but an all action video is sometimes all I crave, no need for theme all the time...so some of my videos you will find theme, some you wont.

Don't worry about it. It was a different anime and in .wmv. Done by some n00b about DragonballZ (Although, the style was very similar to this, but still wasn't as good, because it was even more random then this)
