FSN and Lordi in the same vid? /gets

EDIT: Simple editing but effective. Some of the internal sync didn't really work out though. Still, I liked it.

Hmm, I havn't seen fate/stay night yet...but I do digs me some Lordi...

/gets

Alright, I have to say that this was rather disappointing. The sync felt very weak most of the time, I get that you were going for a lot of internal sync...but it really didn't work being as Lordi's music is so loud and impactful. Overall the video felt very mediocre do to the sync being so weak. Being that I don't know anything about fate/stay night, I can't really tell you much about the video other than the action bit of it. Though I have to ask, if this was a character profile on the chick, why the focus on the guy fighting the monster toward the end? Maybe it's relevant but I don't know the series so not sure S:

The sync is decent, most of the Internal sync worked really well. Only problem for me is the regular fight to a beat sync style of action amv. Nothin really seperating it from the common.

3/5

Video Quality was kinda strange too, looked blocky at times and other times it looked good.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

What didn't work? I'd very much like to know. "simple but effective" is music to my ears, though. Thanks!

It would make a lot more sense if you'd seen Fate/stay Night. And it's not a strict character profile, leaning far more in the direction of general action. It sure isn't the world's most coherent work, although I suppose there is a vague narrative if you care to look for it.

I don't have a lot of experience with x264 encoding. It wouldn't surprise me if it's less then optimal.

I'll admit it: this video was as much an exercise in standard beat-sync action as anything else. I had to prove to myself that I could actually pull it off without producing something completely unwatchable. I was willing to settle for mostly unwatchable, and I seem to have done better than that.

Thanks for watching, everyone. Now that I know what I'm doing somewhat better, maybe my next video will be better-done.

Well the internal that didn't work was the "slow" one, like archer's head movement at 00.14. For most of the time the internal was fast and noticeable so it was ok but where it was slow it didn't feel right. But admittedly, after a couple of re-watchings, the internal seemed to overall work better.

Hey, I saw this first and made the first op. Big fan of Fate/Stay so sorry if I judge a little harshly. I can expand on a few points here if you wish.

I can tell that you're syncing a lot of things internally... but I think that while Sync is "fun" for a video, it really needs more. Or, if you want a high action-paced video, you really need to sync every drum beat and instrument to something. So either get more Sync / Effects and screw the big picture, or get a big picture and keep Sync secondary.

It is difficult to tell who the main characters are in this amv. You can make an entire AMV with Saber and her fights alone. (Heck, you're halfway there. Just take out Rin, Emiya, and Archer). Also, your AMV is unnecessarily linear, which hurts it in two ways.

1. For someone like me who has watched the show, it feels as if you didn't put much thought into this. I can tell that you did put effort (due to the syncs and so forth)... but it looks really bad when you practically recap 13 episodes without adding anything to the amv. (You've added neither effects nor a analysis). Of course, this does not apply in a high paced action AMV, but this amv doesn't qualify as high paced action IMO.

2. It feels as if you've hampered yourself by sticking to fights in order. For example, Saber vs Lancer is a good fight... but with no conclusion. Both in the anime, and the amv. Therefore, it would be best to cut out the climax (when Lancer stabs her in the heart). Why? When Saber gets stabbed in the heart, the audience expects something from it. Instead, we get a scene change to Berzerker vs Saber... and Saber is doing fine.
