- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Quite nice! I rather liked the use of facial expressions, you pretty much told the story through them.
There were a few points where the video seemed to lose focus; I thought especially the bit towards the end where you brought in frames focusing on other characters (not the main two), which I think was a little out of the usual two-character pattern.
Otherwise this was well done.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I was a little reluctant to get this at first since I have yet to see the rest of the series. Now I feel almost like I don't have to ;p This seems like a good trip down memory lane for saikane fans, I haven't seen past like volume 2 of the series, so I could be wrong, but I feel like I pretty much got the story from your video alone without having to.
Solid editing, I think this is probably the best video i've seen from you in that regard.
This song is also full of win, so you get my
capy ;p

I see where you're coming from there, and I think I have an explanation for that. That was one of the very first parts I had ever planned out when I came up with the idea, but the original idea included more of the side characters in more of the video. I guess that when I got the idea cemented in my head, I never really changed that part like I did the rest of the video.the bit towards the end where you brought in frames focusing on other characters (not the main two)
If you have any interest in the series still, then I suggest the manga. The anime is good in its own respect, but it doesn't hold a candle to the sheer imagery, story, and details of the books. Failing that, Saikano isn't a great anime, but it's worth getting to the last episode if you're interested.I was a little reluctant to get this at first since I have yet to see the rest of the series.

Hrm, I thought I replied to this thread.
I really liked this video. It's one of the better Saikano videos, IMO. You did a really good job portraying the relationship between the characters. Nice scene selections, and I liked the little bit of some secondary characters since it provides contrast and adds a dramatic touch to the segment.

Heh. I go to reply to comments and suddenly this is already on the second page. Tons of videos being released, I guess. o.o
Thanks for all of the feedback everyone.

Think I missed this last time (still getting used to the edit button being in this forum). While I very much enjoy effects in videos, I'm not very good at doing them myself. They always look kind of awkward (not too savvy with Photoshop, really...). I'm working on more daring types of effects, but generally speaking, I'll leave the effects videos to people who can do them well.Otherwise good storytelling and smooth, u shouldve used a bit more of some effects in some parts.
ZOMG sock puppets! :O Thanks, sto.inthesto wrote:Liked the beta, love the real video, but there's one minor problem.

I've never watched Saikano, but I know that it can be extremely depressing, and it was nice to see a video that put more focus on the two characters' happier times together. I love how this video leaves you with more of a lighter feeling (hope, maybe?), rather than just utter despair...which is not what I would expect with a video using this anime. The editing is consistently solid, and I thought you did a really nice job portraying the emotional aspects of the story. A very nice romance video - one that I really enjoyed watching.
Good work!
