  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

That shouldn't be the case, I double checked the entire file before upload, and I just double checked just now the area you mentioned and my file is clean. Perhaps your download got currupted? Can anyone else confirm this?
Well, maybe that it just is my player. I have a vid up myself, that on aome pcs contains an error and on others not, just thought I would mention it. Well if I install an mp4 codec here I normally have no longer access to the internet, otherwise I would have taken that version ;).

in all honesty i thought the xvid encode was much better than the .mp4

the quality was about the same but i got all kinds of audio errors and static from the mpeg4

I haven't seen all of it yet (I mostly get bored with MEP's half way through), I saw the first half though and jesus Niotex I love your part, it's definatley not the same old contrived editing I'm used to in most videos, your footage manipulation was sublime, I applaude you

maybe you have a faulty ac3 codec? the mp4 uses ac3 audio encoded at 192 kbps, so it should be high quality. the xvid uses mp3, so it could be your ac3 codec causing the problems there. it sounds great on my PC.

was going good until lcy84s and owl's track... the aspect ratio really threw me off...

other then that, the project is really high quality and nicely done. though, half of it had no lyrics and made me wonder why it was named ayumix in the first place... unless she composed all that music herself.

I know she writes the lyrics to all her songs now, but I'm not sure about the actual music. The fact is the music is written for her albums though, so its still ayumix ;p

Well, I'm finally jumping onto the bandwagon of this one. I noticed the thread when it was going, so I've been keeping tabs. I just didn't get around to watching it until now (and by now, I mean I just finished viewing the project a few minutes ago.)

I have to say...really spectacular. This is easily the best MEP I've seen in a long, long time - and you have an increasing amount of competition lately, so consider that a huge compliment. Each section transitioned really well, and the differing styles of the editors blended beautifully. Actually, I do have to make an additional comment on that. Most (if not all) of these sections were loaded to the brim with effects, so while each part had its own personality, they also looked the same in a lot of ways. However, in this case, I really liked that effect. Moving on, I'm amazed at the video quality. I really should have fullscreened this when I was watching it (and I probably will later), but the video looked beautiful from what I could tell.

Well, my next part here is going to sound really nitpicky. Still...I'm only doing this because this video DID come from such a talented group of editors AND because it turned out so wonderful.

1. Whoever did the X part - Warheart, I think - filtered the FUCK out of that footage. Yeah, it was smooth and clean, but a lot of the details had been lost. It didn't look like X anymore. I was kind of irked by it.
2. Since I'm not familiar with the songs, I can't be sure if this is a normal part of them or not, but between six and seven minutes (~6:20 stands out), I heard some really obvious cuts in the audio.
3. Intro was reeeaaaallllly long. That's just a personal irritation of mine. Considering that you had detailed credits at the end, I didn't see the need for both ends of the video to be that long - and it's not like you can really skip an intro, either. You risk jumping too far into the video.

Anyway, those are things that I noticed on my first time through - meaning, they were the most obvious. Still, despite those few nitpicky things, this really was an amazing project. Awesome job to those who participated, and if Bakadeshi gets Ayu 2 up and running, I hope to see you (and some new faces) all editing for it again. ^_^
