But anyways, most people don't agree with my music selections, but to them I say, "The less you know about the band/artist, the less you expect me to do". The reason I think this, is because if you don't know anything about the band/artist then you don't know their music style. Thus, allowing me to keep you interested with the "Visual content".
My first con ever was Anime North 2004; along with attending I also entered their AMV competition. Unsure of the talent that would be shown there I took, what I figured to be, the safe and guarantee win route, the "Novice" division. While watching all the videos on the screens I was overcome with excitement, because I found out that they were just showing the finalists. When I saw my video show up on the screen, not only was I in shock (after seeing some of the videos that were also being shown) but I was also starting to feel extremely confident in my video (Metal Oblivion). Finally when they started giving out the awards, my extreme high was shot down when I found out that I had not won, but yet I was happy with second place. Later I found out that I lost by a margin of 2%.
Since then, I've gone to every Anime North, and I'm hoping to attend AWA, or atleast into AWA.
Which brings up to now. I take my videos very seriously, maybe too much, and I aim for perfection every time. If there is something that doesn't sit right with me, then I will go back and change it, and continue to change it until I am happy with the outcome.
I've been trying some newer things lately, some same style (I think I have finally defined my style), but set to what it's strongest with... you'll just have to wait and see tho.
After only a year, Helix Studios closed down, why? Because I was offerd a postion in a different studio, WITH AN ACTUAL WEBSITE!!!! OMG!!! lol, I'm now with Surface Dreams Studio, a bunch of people from over seas. It should be a blast.
