U is for UGHUUUUU 2011-01-07 16:38:52 When I make AMV's, I try and walk away for about 2/3 days after a lot of progress so I can make sure I enjoy it still. Just walked back into my V-Day MEP track, and I about gagged. >_<

Although it's definitely salvageable. :D

Best "Ruined" Video: Shape of My Heart : Maricela

I give this award out of sadness. The video itself was FANTASTIC and probably one of the better romance videos of the year. But the effects and watermark on top of it just absolutely DEVASTATE it. Take this as a nice reminder to all editors. SAY NO TO WATERMARKS.

Best "Unique but not really Uniqe" Video of the Year: Longed for Him, Got Him, Shit - godix

Really nice attempt at something "unique", but who self admitted it had been done before. It was a really nice romance video with nice pacing/storytelling by utilizing some really nice panel effects. It was also interesting to watch and interesting to see develop.

Who says DBZ can't be entertaining anymore? Castor Troy? Well, I guess he does, but that's not the point! The video was a really interesting take on DBZ and focused on a much under-appreciated romancing ship. More importantly, it was entertaining to watch and even more entertaining to see over and over again.

Seriously... This AMV probably had more work into than the actual opening for Persona 3. Ok, not literally, but you get what I mean.

The effects work was over the top and well executed in a great and entertaining manner. The intergeneration of still images was VERY impressive and created the illusion of it actually being the opening itself made from scratch.

While it's nothing overly original, it was VERY entertaining for a con opening, and did a great job of really capturing the vastness of the anime culture while creating an entertaining piece to watch. Like I said, I watched it more than any other AMV of the year. iTunes proves it. XD

No, seriously, it was immensely entertaining and had fantastic scene selection with an even better concept.

With HSOTD now out, prepare for a flood of zombie amv's as the resurgence of games like Deadrising 2 hit the markets worldwide.

Of all the zombie-induced AMV's of the year, this was the most entertaining to watch [at least in my opinion]. It had its flaws, but it captured the very ESSENCE of zombieness. BEATING THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ZOMBIES WITH EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN. <3

Ok, I actually didn't get fired, and I didn't actually play this at work, but you can just see how that could be possible.

For a very unique title, utilizing the hilarity of the series of Panty/Stocking/Garterbelt created a hilarious enjoyment that could only be described as "LOL" in its purest form.

When you can't tell where one editor begins and another ends, you can tell its a good collaboration. More importantly, when you make FFVII AC entertaining again, that's even a better example of good editing. Great mood, great atmosphere and even better editing as a whole.

Since Kizanzi's blue period, every year we seem to get a monocolored amv. This year, we got a fantastic red AMV with some very nice symbology and editing behind it. One of my favorite AMV's of the year, even thought ITS TOO DAMN SHORT DAMNIT. >:/
