Well, I've been cooking since I was 17 and almost went to Culinary School but decided on tech, now I regret it cause I could have had my own show ;-).

No biggied to follow a recipe in a book, it's just patience and the eye for presentation, not to forget heat control. Taste comes naturally after you get the feel for different spices. Myself I enjoy garlic in a recipe or herb butter (NEVER MARGARINE!).
2006-08-06 10:23:17 Awww, Katie, I'm sorry! I have to do cooking for the week. Today I'm making a Veggie Paella with saffron and Greek Phylo and feta wraps. Then I'll be making Chicken tandoori and most likely some Chick Pea salad. But please, when I'm done I'll want the Beta!!!!
