Well, I'll admit my eyes itched, but I for one did notice quite a bit of flow.

But, again, being a rather unusual vid, it's bound to be ambiguous...

I didn't make this for the Org, I had one person in mind and I made it according to that person's tastes. You can criticize me all you want, but I succeeded in doing exactly what I set out to do. And there's no better feeling of accomplishment I've ever felt. If other people like this and can see it as the artistry that I saw in my head, that's awesome. That's why I released it. It sounds like you're taking this video as a personal insult, and that's the most retarded thing I've ever seen you do. You could criticize like anyone else, but you have to add all this insult and mockery that takes away any use your criticism might have been. I don't care if you don't like my video, just give this meaningless tirade a rest.

says a lot about your 'flow' when you have to pause the thing every 20 seconds.

Same problem I see with any video that relies on subtitled messages - you need to pause it the first time through because stopping the footage long enough for people to read the text ruins the action sync. And if the text *was* oulined (that's an option in Showbiz, but doesn't seem to be available in most editors) - the viewer would look more closely at the text than the images.

I think of this video as a collage of images that create an emotion or thought for each section. It won't work on all, and it's probably subliminal for those with poor eye sight. But there's no point complaining because other people like it and you don't - why do that? Flow is a matter of opinion - do you really want to argue with people's opinions about something you don't even have to watch? Just think of all the time you've spent complaining about this video - you could have been watching something you enjoyed instead...

if you made it for one person cj, why did you put it on this server? couldn't you just have given it to them on a cd? even if that were impossible, you wouldn't need to brag about it the way you're doing.

but hey, i'm just being cynnical. i know you love this movie, and it's not as though it's horrible or that there's anything wrong with being bland and repetative, it's just that maybe you could make it better the next time around. you've got awesome skills, but you might get stuck if you stay where you are now. even if it's a small project, it might broaden your conceptualization abilities if you just try shit out, you know?

I put it on the server because it is an AMV and I knew some people would like it. I'm sorry for wasting your time. Obviously you must have been mistaken about me. I'm just another crappy editor.

And I'm not bragging. I said I accomplished what I set out to do, that's not bragging.

And I was trying something new out. How many videos have you seen like this? There is no plot, no, because I tried to deal explicitely with emotion. So maybe I failed. Maybe I didn't.

I'm sorry if there's not enough sugar in your tea, but you don't have to drink it and piss all over everyone around you.

While I don't share Kamoc's fury, I do agree with some of his points. The flashing images did get old at some point (near the end, which is good that this video is short

), and the text really needed an outer glow of some kind. I found myself pausing every time a quote came up because I couldn't read it. However, the main focus and concept of the video is understood and is quite original from the amount of AMVs I've seen.

Simply put, the idea is great but the execution of it had crippling flaws.

What makes you think my videos are about the effects? The effects are just a means to achieving the concept.

And you mocking me and my video does no good. I don't know what sort of delusions you're under. I know it was simple, repetetive, plotless, and not easy to see. I had two weeks, I wasn't going to make an opus. So I put in emotions. And frankly, I don't want your help.

The ending felt a little cop outish to me, but other then that I was happy with what I saw, nice work.
