So original but so unoriginal-my first *true* cross over amv

well, this is the announcement forum, so natrually, I should do my best to tell you why this amv is even worth your time. Hmm...
I guess I'll just restate all the good things in my amv's commentary page here. =P

What makes this amv unique is that
-I wanted to make Yuna look like she's singing the "Real Emotion" song FOR FF7:AC&DoC as if the song was ABOUT FF7:AC&DoC (Much like how singers, will occasionally make a music video to promote a movie by using various footage of that movie in there video.)

-There was a fair amount of masked footage involved (which means lots of time spent in photoshop)

Now how many CG based amv's do you actually see that had some masking done to it? Though there definately are some on here at the org, it's not like there in abundance.

This is first amv in which I've spent around somewhere in the range of 200-400 hours making. (I lost count)

If you've seen any of my recent amv's, then chances are you know that I'm not really *bad* at this sort of thing. In other words, beat synch, lyric synch, and footage quality should all prove to be on point. Plus I even provided a second version that's quality seems to be on par with the "Chronicles of Midgar" amv for those who've seen it.

There are actually several things I'm not too proud about with regards to this amv, but you can read about that in the commentary page. It's unoriginality in a few areas are one of them. To make a long story short, I'm completely aware of just how overused FF is. Especially AC. Still, like everyone else that posts there AC amv's here, I'll leaving it up to good faith that you'll give this one a chance.

Case in point, lots of blood, sweat, and tears, went into this. I hope this ends up being looked at as the best amv I've done yet and not just the amv I worked the hardest on. So here it is,

^^see, I even went out of the way to make this pretty original logo for it.

That was really good, nice job with cutting and masking in your footage it is apparent you spent alot of time on this, and you did a great job in my opinion, the quality was really good and scenes looked liked they belong there, as I said really good job, and your right not many movies made with these game use effects like that, the visuals are so stunning I usually do not see the need to, but I was really impressed with that. Makes me want to play around more with using digital effects just to see, normally I only use them when footage needs help like the sims
I will leave an op also, once again really impressive work, even though that song annoys me, it was still awsome to watch. :D
Oh and I could never get tired of FF movies :P

Sorry, I couldn't finish watching it because I started seeing stuff I didn't want to see because I haven't played Dierge of Cerberus yet. ;__;

It's all good. Anyways, if it eases your concience (sp?) any, there's really nothing in that amv that's gonna spoil the story for you. I tried to make it feel more so like a trailer than an actual full blown tribute. But DoC comes out soon anyways. So keep this amv in mind once you've finally beaten it. =)

Thank you Stolen Soul and oceanangel2you for your feedback thus far. Glad you liked it.

It already spoiled stuff for me. :/

What I've seen of it though, was awesome editing. I was truly impressed with the masking of Yuna dancing.

Hmm... well, I'm not the first one to respond like I had hoped, but at least I was able to see it today.

To anyone who hasn't gotten this yet...

Download This Video NOW!

I kid you not, folks - the amount of effort that went into this video is insane, and it really shows. Don't let the common anime put you off. This is a terrific work of art.

Geez... I really don't know what to say. You know I've been a huge supporter of your videos, sayde. You've been consistently challenging yourself to do more complex pieces, and each one just gets better and better. This is no exception.

About the video quality... I don't know what you ultimately did with it, but it looks really nice - a big improvement from the "final" beta you showed me.

Speaking of betas, thank you for adding in the thanks at the end for me. That was very sweet of you. ^_^

This video is a keeper for me, no thought required. Sure, it'd be nice if I knew Dirge of Cerberus, but that's just gonna make it that much better once I have played it.

Once again, folks, download this video if you haven't already. It's worth every bit of it. Great work, sayde. :D

That was cool. I love cross-over vids, so I'm glad to another one. :) It had some great creativity going on.
