for me its completely weird. Its just a strange matter when you get somthing like for your bad points "the rap", so I'm kinda forced to be a little bit more proud than most. Its weird cuz I start of the projects that I do saying that "regardless of what I make, or how good it is, there will always be the ppl out there who will not accept my videos because they use hip hop. So in order to make them accpet my video I must make it bad ass." So I go along with the process. After about 30 sec(or the intro) or a min and a half(end of the first verse), I find someone to beta test it, and normally its my boy Frank or Judge Holden, and most recently rollthestampede. Then about mid way threw I look at it about 15 times to find whats wrong with it. Weither its from the render or anything but by that time im kinda in the zone with the amv. When its finshed I'm usually cheeseing more than sharp chedder. So yea I'm proud but man its difficult to manage that sometimes.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....
.......as if I would do something like that.

x2

I tend to become less and less proud of my older works as the newer ones come out...

With a couple of exceptions. :wink:

To answer the question, yes, I am. For the most part.

Depends on what we mean by "proud".

If proud means personally happy, then yes.

If proud means I'm going to go on top of a government building and proclaim "I MADE AMV, LOOK AT ME", then no. :roll:

Yes?

Some people seem to like them, so I guess I should be.

I'm proud of the effort I put into the video. I'm proud of myself for sticking through really tedious and long projects. I'm proud of myself for taking random clips and having them come out just the way I want them for the simple vids. The only time I haven't been proud of myself was when I made a video to impress/mollify a fellow-creator. He liked it. I hated it from the moment I started editing because I couldn't stand the concept/pairing/theme/editing/reason-for-making. I still twitch when I think about that one.

I'm not proud of my videos as amvs. They don't stand up. There's a style to editing, I see it and sometimes I like it, sometimes I wish I could do it, but I don't. I call my vids that, vids, because I can't think of them the way I do amvs. I compare them to live-action music videos, to vids here that I automatically think of as being 'proper' amvs. There's a style and it's in the editing and I don't get it. Heck, half the time I don't even try to get it. I like watching it, but that's not what I like to do, so I don't consider my vids proper amvs. The more I edit, the more embarrassed I am about sharing my vids. No matter how hard I work on them, or how proud I am of my effort, or how many people like them, they're still not proper amvs and I know it.

So I end up with sheepish pride. I like my vids and I'm proud of myself for making them, but I don't honestly think they fit here anymore. I lost my confidence to share shamelessly. I actually wince when I list a new vid on my profile page. It's kinda sad. ^_^;;
