  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Dreaming (End of the World) released

Post by RutKiskasca » Wed Nov 09, 2005 2:54 pm

Hello all...

I have completed my first video in a combat zone. I don't want to repeat my whole journal entry or video description here, but I am very proud of this video and it represents a big improvement for me in my effects editing skill. I hope you take the time to check it out.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

Bah, can't believe I missed this post. Very awesome work, some of the effects I would have expected to get old fast, but you did a nice job mixing it up, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. My only gripe was the ending, I dunno, it seemed.... off. But besides that, hawt work, and it's nice to see it out. :D

Deeply touched

I can't tell you folks how much I appreciate your support and encouragement, and your honest opinions of the strengths and weaknesses of this video. It was very difficult to find time to edit between all the craziness I've been dealing with down here, but I am so glad that I did, and I am very happy that people are enjoying it.

Thanks a lot for checking it out, and telling me what you think!

Ok, I hate the band (3rd strike > SoaD) and I dislike the movie but I love the video. I don't really know how you do it but you always convice me with your videos. I like the use of glow and bars, some may say it's old and cheesy but I really like how you used them. I guess that shows that you don't have to use Trapcode, Sapphire or AIST FX pro to make good use of effects. I can't really tell things about the concept yet since I didn't read the lyrics yet but it looks like you gave a thought about the sceneselection within the video.

And you get a fat bonus for building it under such pressure and difficult circumstances. I hope I find the time to create amvs in the future too.

What Warheart said. I'm also fan of bars and glow, and to top it off very well synched. Orsum stuff. Keep it up Rut.

I almost never download videos anymore, but I'll make an exception and just hope the download doesn't get killed before it's finished. Nice to see you're alive and kicking.

Amazing... I was so immersed that I didn't even realize the time went by. It was better than Square's picture itself! :)

haha false ending!

I liked it. good story buildup and I agree that your story was better than the original film. now because I dug the story so much, some of the effects did seem to get a little carried away, in that they distracted me from paying attention to the actuall story rather than thinking... ooooooo, pretty effects ;p

At least the effects are pretty and not gaudy though ;p
