Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Well, it's tough to get recognition with a Final Fantasy video, or with anything as popular/common, so I think I ought to give you some comments.

Stuff I Liked
- timing. For a second video, the timing was pretty solid here. When you did miss beats, it was by a fraction of a second. I could tell what you were going for, but you were just slightly off.
- lyrical sync. Particularly in the beginning of the video, I could tell that you were matching the scenes with the words. It helped to keep my interest going.

Stuff I Was Iffy About
- pacing. This is a pretty fast-paced, driving song, and you kept up with that fairly well. However, there were scenes that just stretched on without any cuts, and while I understand the dramatic effect you were probably going for, it got to be boring.
- video length. This is something you'll hear people mention a lot about long videos. Most folks don't like videos much longer than five minutes, and even that is pushing it. For me, it depends on how good the video is. If the video's good, it can be as long as the creators wants. If it's not, then I can't stand much more than four minutes - or less. In this case, I would have preferred it to be a little shorter.

Stuff I Didn't Like
- video quality. The aspect ratio was stretched horizontally, so everyone looked wider than they were supposed to. It didn't stay constant either. Also, I'm pretty sure the FFX footage was downloaded, due to the symbol in the upper corner. What bothered me the most, though, was the extreme blurriness of the clips. It was pretty bad.

All in all, this is a decent second video. Some technical tweaking and re-timing would help it a lot, but it's not too shabby the way it is. You definitely need to keep editing. I can tell you have talent, but you have to practice quite a bit yet to polish it. Well done!

but I'm trying to find it...
