First of all, the song is called "Dragostea Din Tei". Secondly, that combination really doesn't sound like it would work well. Despite the literal lyrical translation, the song itself is quite upbeat and on the fast-paced side; the polar opposite of Hoshi No Koe. The two really don't have much in common with each other at all.

Well, from Icy's statements, I'd give this a "no" as well, but for the sake of argument, let's give this example:
odian0 makes the video Dramatic Soup, as a means of showing that an over the top video can be made with a calm and/or boring anime. This video turns out pretty great.
He originally got this idea from Heading for a New Century, supposedly also a dramatic video made to a 'lame' anime. This is also a great music video.
So, if you do it right, who's to say that a slow-paced anime can't be paired with an upbeat song and come out as a kickass AMV?
You'll never know 'til you try. Do the first twenty or thirty seconds. If it works for you and you like it, run with it. If not, scrap it. It's as simple as that.
Whatever you decide, good luck! ^_^
