  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Definitely. I'd like to do some crossover action scenes, so it'll take a lot more 'middle' frames to make it come out smooth. If nothing else, this vid was great practice. But I doubt I'd find the time to draw up even half the number of frames used in real anime. If it took a year or two to make, it wouldn't be fun anymore. ^_^;;

Glad to have horrified you. Just imagine if I'd used DBZ instead. :twisted: :wink:

You wouldn't be wrong, but I didn't mean it to be scary. I was aiming for angsty romance, or 'just wrong' comedy for those who found it absurd. ;p

Bwaaahaaahaaa! Ahahaa! That was great!

*Inuyasha slashes with his claws*

*Miroku's clothing goes flying*

Ahaha... I'm afraid I had to pause the video for a moment there.

Isn't this a MAD, as opposed to an AMV? Either way, I thought it was fun, great work on the animation, most people have no concept of how hard it is to get smooth motion out of hand drawn frames. (ironic for an anime based community... )

I liked it, it was silly for sure, but thanks for making it!

:lol: That's one of my favorite parts. I honestly couldn't watch the first beta of this vid for a week without cracking up (the IY section was the first beta). Sure, it's meant to be serious, but only if you look at it the right way. ^_^;;

I think you have to be Japanese to make a MAD, so it's probably just a famv - fan-animated music vid. I'm glad you liked it though, and thanks for giving it a shot. :P

LOL... that was SOOO wrong on so many levels it was actually humerous :lol:

pretty good fanart btw. I guess the only complaint would be the low frame rate for the animation, but given to make this smooth it would take 1 person forever to draw all those frames without help.... or a studio...

Haha... Inuyasha and Miroku.... :shock:

Though I would prefer to see shoujo ai/yuri vid's, I've downloaded this one because of the use of fanart. Well done. I've enjoyed watching it. And I think I have an idea how much effort it needed to do that animation even if with that low frame rate.

Since you said you want to use fan made animation in future projects too: Working with low numbers of drawings do the professional animation studios too. But they know better how to cover it. Mostly fluent motion has only every second frame different (at 24fps). And for e.g. waving hair is a repeated loop, many other things too. Also zooms and slides give the impression of animation, but it is only necessary to make one drawing. I assume you made use of the advantages that layers give you for the reuse of already drawn things. But probably not enough. Think of the layers like the cels in anime.

I just watched the video and I gotta ask 'Did you draw the animation?' Gosh, I never seen anything like before. Cool video!
