7 Ways to Remove a Logo (various anime/music comedy video)

Post by Gepetto » Sat Jun 25, 2005 9:14 pm

Seven new inovvating ways to remove those pesky TV logos (or fansubber logos if you've no respect for the rules) from your video! They require virtually no knowledge of scripting, and can be done in any video editor that isn't WMM. Find out now and be the smartest AMVer that sleeps on your bed!

Too similar to AMV Hell for my own good, I suppose... If you liked AMV Hell 1 and 2 but thought they went overboard with the sex jokes, check out this video. I hope you don't mind but the visual quality isn't as good (it's not BAD, but it isn't "WOW OMFG" material either).

I really liked making this, and I'd like to know if other people liked watching it (had to wait for broadband to upload... it's been done for a few months) Generally, the "normal" people I showed it to liked it, but the oppinions of experts are always welcome as well^^. If you don't want to leave an op, at least post something here, please... Thx in advance!

Well, can't forget the link, can I? Just click here!

Don't feel bad. RubyHatchet's A Song For Everyone came out over a year before AMV Hell (and it also had a sequel). :P

Getting.

The user named "doki" doesn't have any vids registered. ¬¬ who the hell are you talking about?

I didn't STEAL anything from anyone, screw you for accusing me of doing that... You WERE warned that it looks like AMV Hell, and if you don't like it then leave an op with straight 1s instead of making a stupid threat you obviously have no intention of fulfilling. Grow up and get a life...

<a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... okidoki, otherwise known as Doki Doki Productions, the group behind "Right Now Someone Is Reading This Title", "Senshi On Springer", "KDMD", and "This Video Sucks", inter alia.

But I don't recall them ever doing anything like anything I saw in your video, so I have no idea what AMV_4000 is going on about either.

Well, I'm a "normal" person, I guess, because I enjoyed it. ~_~

I don't usually watch comedy or parodies unless they're directly pointed out to me or I stumble upon them (I like that stuff; it's just that the anime I watch aren't usually in those kind of videos), but this one was refreshing. Yeah, the video quality wasn't that great, but it sort of goes with the idea, too. I mean, videos with logos usually entail fansubs and the like, so having fansub quality footage just adds to the effect, I think.

This video is a lot of fun, and it's a nice addition to the comedy and/or parody genre on this site. Great job!

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Is there really a need for a video under 4 minutes to be over 60MB anymore? Sheesh.

I guess I'll take a look at it when I have something better than dialup...which won't be until september.

dj_ultima_the_great, I'm glad you liked the video! I hadn't thought that the visual quality could be interpreted that way... nice!

I know... But for some reason, I can't make my MPG encodes small enough... ¬¬
I'm using the 24FPS TMPGEnc profile fom the AVTECH guide, so I wonder what's wrong... Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks to all who watched it, I hope you enjoyed. But I'm still trying to understand who I ripped off other than AMV Hell.... (another mystery of life o.O)

If they have a lot of complicated high-motion scenes, then sure, I can see where you might have to crack 60 MB.

My AX/Otakon video (@DJ Ultima: from which my avatar was taken... ) was a total bear to compress. In the interests of keeping the bitrate sane, I had to forgo making it as sharp as I wanted... with the result that the distro version is really no substitute for the convention-grade MPEG-2.
