Concerning 'Studios'

The reason that I made a studio (and wish that everyone else would too) is because I need the bumper-delay time to find the ctrl and enter keys to make the AMV fullscreen before it starts. ^^;;

And yes, like Jade Eyed Angel, it's all for the pretty factor too. X3

Hi, I was just wondering what exactly it meant when a video bumper says 'A (whatever) Studios Production'.

It means instead of masturbating like a normal AMVer they've gotten a couple friends together and formed a circle jerk.

To be fully honest, I made a studio when I started here, 3 years ago, because I thought it's what everybody was doing (and because it'd give me a title for a website, too). Talk about a newbie! Anyway, apart from looking cool and/or, in some cases, indicate that you're gathered with other people under a same name... you won't need a studio name to survive.

wen i first joined i didnt relle care for studios nor wat they were. then someone asked me to join theirs, so i was like.. uh.. ok.. y not. lol.. n now i switched over to mai friend's studio but watever, just a studio. besides i got to make a cool ed logo for it, so i'm happy lol

A studio is just something you use to go under another title..your production group. :O

I like using a production name as opposed to my nickname because it's shorter and is definitely more unique... much more recognizable when someone accidentally sees more than one of my videos in their recycle bin.

my "studio" just pimps my site... its not really a studio, especially since I have no drive/need to join a real one (Sorry Scoob)

though i have started to work with one a bit... but I think on the next MEP I am going to just let him have his logo as to shorten the bumper.... though it looked kinda cool: "Scoobs net and Katie's Web Sight Productions" (yes its spelled correctly) maybe I will be a semi-member???

I just wanna put my logo on my vids is all.. lol plus i think it makes my vid's thumbnails look better when viewed in Explorer...

When I started doing AMVs I was in a phase where I was doing a lot of geeky projects under different usernames (not hiding or anything, just the way things worked out) - and tagging them all with my homepage's name was a way of tying them together. So in case it ever came up, the game stuff under NAH had a name in common with the AMV stuff under StB. A pointless attempt at organizing myself.

On the credits of my current project I've dropped the studio name. No specific reason, really. It's not a very important thing to me; to some people it means something, to others it doesn't, and it's not generally worth worrying about to me. Though I understand the confusion for a newcomer.

lol i told scoob (ScoobINSMDBZ) that i would join his studio but only for MEPs lol just cause they (the studio) are friends of mine and it would make bumpers shorter...

I have JaddziaDax on everything, if you google it more than likely its either 1. me or 2. some how indirectly related to me.

but yea... I've had the website since I was 16, so its sorta like "well i gotta pimp the ole site"

I stopped making studios because all of the members that would join would drop out and pursue acting careers.... no joke.

A new deal is in the works however..
