Changeing Windows Movie Maker into AVI files?
I just made my first video in Windows Movie Maker. I sent the whole video to a friend of mine but she said that nothing came up. No music or pictures. So I sent it to another friend and he said the exact same thing. Now I am worried that I should change the ending tag to AVI. I wanted to change it to AVI because it is the ending I see for most of the music videos on this site. But to be honest, I'm not sure if I am suppost to. I tried to change it to AVI but I don't know how, and I was wondering if some people out there would please help me out.

That is my profile page. Please download my video and find out if it works? This isn't just some way to get you all to watch my video, I truely am worried that even though I put my video up onto the site, that when someone downloads it they will not be able to get a picture. Please download my video, and reply to this post and tell me if you see anything or if it is blank. If it is blank, and you might have an idea on how to fix it, please post your idea. All the people who read this and help me, I thank you greatly.

Its 598 KB, which problaby means you're uploading your WMM Project file. You need to save a movie, in order to create a video file.

No, you're definitely not supposed to.goldengalaxia wrote:I just made my first video in Windows Movie Maker. I sent the whole video to a friend of mine but she said that nothing came up. Changing a file's extension from .WMV to .AVI will not change the file itself (it will still be in the WMV format), and will only confuse people.
Here's how to export a (BIG) AVI from WMM(/2), which can then be compressed to a smaller, distributable AVI:

i'll help you!
. Ok so go so that you are in the process of editing your video, you know, where all your work and files is in the bar like your editing it... then go to "Tasks" Which is right next to "Collections" and right under "Play" and "Clip"
Now, in the task menu at the right which should be a bunch of blue links or a list 1-3 Click on "3. Finsh Movie" Then click on the link "Save to my computer" (the first link).
Then A pop-up should come up, so type what you want to name it and where it should save, then click on "Next >" It should already be set on "Best quality for playback on my computer (recommended)" it's best to leave it that way... so just click "Next >" and voila!!! it's saving!
I hope I helped!!!
And, if I didn't drop me a line, i'll make sure you get it
