FINALLY WATCHED IT!....and here comes my criticism...^_^
Story was decent but around the last minute you started focusing ONLY on Naruto and than randomly came into more sasuke.
Other stuff:.....You basiaclly raped the video with effects. It got annoying very fast to me. The song was hawt (One of my fav songs from them too ^_^) and I can see how it can be used for Sasuke and Naruto. Its been done before with this same song but still koo.... >_>
^_^ Yup....

"Christian rock" covers a very wide range of music and can be anything from soft rock/pop to hardcore-metal, so only this particular band sounds like this.rubyeye wrote:I never knew "Christian Rock" sounded like "nu-metal".
I am usually very heavily influenced and inspired by other AMVs when I create my own, so it's not unusual to see elements from other AMVs I liked in my videos. Things like the red eye over b&w background where definitely influenced from Whisper of the Beast, and I'm sure videos like Toushi or Way of the Ninja bear at least some resemblance to some sections in this video.rubyeye wrote:Seems too much like you were heavily influenced by Whisper of the Beast, and the context looks like nothing more than a lot of (popular) fight scenes which every other Naruto video has already used.
I was trying to gradually shift it to more Naruto's point of view rather than Sasuke's, especially after he "died". I was trying to show how Sasuke's evil side made him weaker, and so Naruto stood out more as the stronger one.TeclmmlEd wrote:Story was decent but around the last minute you started focusing ONLY on Naruto and than randomly came into more sasuke.
I don't think I got that to come across too well, though...
Argh, I know. I always go overboard. It's like I can't help but add excessive flashes and blurs.TeclmmlEd wrote:You basiaclly raped the video with effects. It got annoying very fast to me.
It always baffled me how many people are against Naruto AMVs. I know there are a lot, but I find that a lot of those videos are very well-made, and I liked lots of them long before I saw the anime. Why is everyone so against them?

Im not against Naruto AMV's O_o....when did I say that. If anything I loved them. I just hate videos with crazy effects such as yours. Not trying to be mean but just aint my style ^_^.Sierra Lorna wrote: It always baffled me how many people are against Naruto AMVs. Very well done video, indeed.
I have sharply limited the number of Naruto videos I've watched, and can safely say this one goes in my personal top three. Good to see your skills are as sharp as ever.
I'm still a sucker for slick, well done effects, I like what I saw.
With any ultra popular anime, especially ones based largely around lots of fighting, I find it wears thin fairly quickly. I can still appreciate that an amv was well put together, but seeing the same scenes used in so many vids, or even the same general sort of fighting and such, eventually limits the degree to which I am entertained, beyond enjoying the technical aspect of the editing. There are a number of anime I won't touch, unless I come up with some bizarre twist that throws the way the show's traditionally used out the window.
I think what gets to me the most is cases of extreme fannishness. A well known amv maker whom I greatly respect shared an opinion gotten on on a recent video with a few folks. "It would have been better if you used a good anime like Naruto" and a couple other equally ignorant and worthless remarks. That sort of thing makes me froth at the mouth a bit, and tends to set me rather more strongly against whatever "flavor of the year" show those types are obsessed with.
Just me being a curmudgeon, but I can't entirely help it.
