i think that asuka could have been in a bit more serious pose.....I dunno you probably meant her to be that way since thats more of the character she represents in the show...but its weird seing such a large contrast from shinji's dead seriousness to her goofyness....it makes me almost not take it seriously.

the EVA in the background looks good. I think you could have makde asuka's picture a little sharper, other then that, good poster
I can comment on this.
"Amy" was suppose to be quite goofy compared to ryan, while as ryan had reservations about doing what he did to his father. She did not.

I didn't base it off asuka at all, and this is what I asked Katie to do.
While yes, she bares a certain level of resemblance to asuka, Shes not nearly as pissed off as asuka, nor is she just pure damn hatefull.

That was why I asked her to do that.

Ok, let me just say, WOW.

Hahahaha. Very movie-trailer-ish.
It really makes me want to watch the whole movie, if there ever was, of course. /dreams

The typing part: I thought maybe you could have actually wrote text that matched what he was saying. Knowing japanese myself, it was kinda weird reading the text that didn't match up with the audio.
Speaking of audio, they sounded way better than the last trailers you made. It served my satisfactions well, although I thought some parts sounded a wee bit distant.

But seriously, that was great.
The second half was excellent. Movie movie movie movie!!!!!
Voice actors: Good shit. I felt you executed the right tone of voice to match the video's emotion.
's to you.

By far your best work Ryan.
Keep 'em coming.

BAM!

Excellent! Some things I was a bit concerned about (voice quality, look of footage) are still there, though I full-well know that Scintilla's XviD encode is probably as good as non-remastered Eva footage is gonna look...

In any case, you know what I said about it before. The whole thing is good, but the final section of it is just... gold. (by that I mean the stuff directly leading up to and after 'The Amy Way!').

And, yea, although you seemed to be the voice 'star' in your previous trailers, I gotta hand the award to Cyanna on this one :D . Even though you wrote the line, the 'The Amy Way' bit is, again, absolute gold in the way it was performed.

Great stuff. I *hope* you don't forget about me next time (though if you do it anytime in the next month, chances are I'll have enough free time to get on MSN more often).
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

SnhKnives wrote:well why didnt you use the remastered DVD of EVA?

you could have gotten rid of alot of that stuff easily.

I will agree that there was alot of spacial smoothing, and there was alot of noise reduction, but I think you could have done more to bring out the colors, it just seems so dull.

i dunno, maybe im jsut used to see the platinum
Gosh, I'd love to be able to get my hands on a copy... but it's not something I've got the money for at the moment.

Any problems with the audio, as far as I can tell, are the result of not everyone recording their lines at the same sample rate. I'm convinced that the reason some lines sound worse than they should (the one that sticks out to me is Amy's "the Amy way" line; I just played back the original recording and it definitely lost some fidelity along the way) is because they went through an unnecessary sample rate conversion or two.

I was horrified to discover that the .WAV of the vocal track I'd been sent for cleanup, normalization, etc. was at 32kHz and not 44.1kHz, but I've already yelled at VoR enough about that.

I console myself by saying "at least all the noise is gone and I don't have to turn up my volume to hear the lines".
