Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

New from Aquiline: Rock Me Hideaki!

<a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 7255">Rock it up, Bob to the top!

Image</a>

Footage: Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances)
Music: Falco - Rock Me Amadeus

First of all, if you haven't seen Grungetta of More Than Toast's "<a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... =99">Macho Vash</a>", then go watch it. It's fun. :)

Second, expectation control:
This is my shortest video to date, at only 1:06 (including credits). It was made purely for fun.
It's nothing groundbreaking; in fact, it's kind of retro (I use the word as it relates to AMVs) in that all it uses are cuts (and fades at the beginning and end).

Third, technical stuff (in case anyone cares):

The LOCAL version is XviD AVI, 512x384, 11.4 MB (recommended)
The DIRECT version is MPEG-1, 352x240, 9.8 MB

Enjoy!

Oh yeah, just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this was actually played at AWA? I entered it in the Expo, so I figure there's a good chance it didn't get shown. And if that's true, then I have to change the premiere date to today.

ARGH, sorry, once again forgot to mention something:

If you don't know German (like me), please do read the translation (thanks Kai Stromler!), and it'll make a lot more sense.

I did make a version with bilingual subtitles, but after I saw how distracting they were, I decided I'd much rather only use it for conventions.

Really nice vid. Fun and short, just the way I like 'em. I think a version with English subs would be nice though; it'd help accentuate the lyric sync. Still, I enjoyed it.

Yes, I definitely saw this playing at AWA. Nice short fun vid :)
