Help Kill the U-M Server [14 old videos]
The university I go to recently expanded student disk quota from 50 MB to 1 GB, but conveniently forgot to tell anybody. I found out through Kalium and promptly sprang to exploit.
I had a bunch of videos lying around that were not appropriate for the Donut (and two that just got mixed up way back) for one reason or another -- about 500 MB of such videos in total. Since this fits, here those videos are. If you think there's stuff on here that oughta be on the Donut, reply saying so and I'll shift it; for now, though, it's all direct.
DER VIDEOS
-----
Angel In Black
anime: Vampire Hunter D
artist: Sentenced
song: "White Wedding" (cover)
album: Love And Death EP
runtime: 3:19
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9330
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
There's some violence and gouts of splashing blood in here. This doesn't stop Kenshin OVA videos, but as this is the second SH video ever made, I didn't feel an urge to push it up.
The Edge
anime: Ninja Scroll
artist: Chastisement
song: "Rapid Fluid"
album: ...but lost we are demo
runtime: 3:39
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9331
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
Violence (duh). The video starts with a guy getting his head cut off and goes from there. Also, it's pretty much impossible for any video made with this song to match up with Jesmaster's masterpiece.
Note:
SS3_Eldrin better fix his goddamn all-ones op on this video, now that it's publicly available and he doesn't have to do anything hard like, um, special-request it or anything.
blood to sand
anime: Perfect Blue
artist: Nevermore
song: "Narcosynthesis"
album: Dead Heart In A Dead World
runtime: 5:28
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9336
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
Violence (see the trend yet?) and brief nudity. Really....it's a Perfect Blue video with an aggressive, messed-up song; there are just going to be exploitation shots and all kinds of blood all over the floor.
breakout
anime: Dragon Knight 2
artist: Blind Guardian
song: "Don't Break The Circle" (cover)
album: Follow The Blind
runtime: 4:18
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=1984
ACTUAL DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~psdel/v/008_breakout.mpg
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
Dragon Knight is a hentai series, and I couldn't keep sketchy clips entirely out of this video. Also, it's under my first user profile, which I occasionally lose the password to and never use anyway, so I never felt like making the effort it would take to get this linked.
....embrace my soul
anime: Vampire Hunter D
artist: Emperor
song: "Thus Spake The Nightspirit"
album: Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk
runtime: 4:27
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9337
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
Mostly violence (did you expect anything else?), but possibly also due to the tits on the snake-women (I think that shot was in this one). Also, it's an old video, so it's pretty beat up as regards pixellation, and not really worth the effor of pushing onto local space in the face of those qualifiers.
<- Above this line is all MPEG1, below it is more or less all Divx or xvid ->
_communication()
anime: Serial Experiments: Lain
artist: Orgy
song: "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)"
album: Vapor Transmission
runtime: 3:30
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9339
Why it's not on the Donut:
Because I fucked up. I was doing a mass upload of Donut-qualified stuff around this time last year, and mistakenly sent 'watashidachi no juunigatsu' into the Donut slot for this one, and confirmed it before I had realized I had screwed up. If some mod feels like fixing it, swell.
Give It Up [MPEG1]
anime: Kite
artist: Blame It On Luke
song: "Cheese Is Safer Than Guns"
album: Rock Star Entertainment vol. 1
runtime: 2:54
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9340
Why it's not on the Donut:
La Violencia. Even uplifting, positive Kite videos necessarily include people's heads exploding like giant red paintballs. (Yes, there is a positive message in this video. I swear.)
A World Below [MPEG1]
anime: Nadia - Secret of Blue Water
artist: Stratovarius
song: "Mother Gaia" (custom edit)
album: Infinite
runtime: 4:47
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9341
Why it's not on the Donut:
Because it's not that good. It's a nice, solid, 2-point video, but there are enough of those as it is, and why break up the signal pattern by tossing one on that doesn't use Inuyasha or Naruto? I already have a Nadia video on local, using this band, in point of fact, and it's better.
maelstr0m
anime: Akira
artist: Hypocrisy
song: "Turn The Page"
album: Catch 22
runtime: 4:16
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9350
Why it's not on the Donut:
Er, violence again. Or more accurately, gore, because while you don't see the bursts of disruptive energy that put them up there, you do see the body parts dripping down off the ceiling. Not real Donut-friendly.
watashidachi no juunigatsu
anime: Love Hina
artist: Linkin Park
song: "My December"
album: The Real Slim Santa
runtime: 4:13
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9351
Why it's not on the Donut:
Because I fucked up. I was doing a mass upload of Donut-qualified stuff around this time last year, and mistakenly sent this video into the Donut slot for '_communication()', and confirmed it before I had realized I had screwed up. If some mod feels like fixing it, swell.
The Long Uphill
anime: Hajime no Ippo
artist: Game Over
song: "Little Mac's Confession"
album: Nintendo Metal demo
runtime: 4:27
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9608
Why it's not on the Donut:
Because in many parts the print looks like it was run over with a steamroller. It's a decent enough video, but the picture quality is probably about the worst I've released, with the possible exception of #90, which only the guys judging the Globocide contest have been subjected to.
say oi!
anime: Colorful
artist: Skrewdriver
song: "Voice of Britain"
album: unknown
runtime: 2:40
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=15306
Why it's not on the Donut:
Because Skrewdriver are Nazis. I don't support their ideals, and I definitely don't support political-correctness filtering of local content, but I don't feel that it's really necessary to put this vid on a collectively supported resource.
Also there are some penises, so that just tends to reinforce things.
SCREAM BLOODY GORE
anime: Evil Dragon War Chronicles
artist: Possessed
song: "Death Metal" (custom edit)
album: Seven Churches
runtime: 3:00
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=15829
Why it's not on the Donut:
Violence. And some sexual nudity, but mostly the metric tons of violence. Drop me a PM if you think projectile-vomiting bloody chunks, blowing up corpses in an expanding vortex of gore and vitals, and arms shoved elbows-deep into a monster's braincase is Donut worthy, because I've got a bridge for sale you might be interested in.
This was the "weak", "tame" video of the two that I dropped on the Globocide folks.
Don't Watch This Video
anime: Excel Saga
artist: Metallica
song: "So What" (cover) (chipmunk mix)
album: Garage Inc.
runtime: 1:36
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=25837
Why it's not on the Donut:
Excessive language (yeah, there are technically no rules, but saying 'fuck' once every six seconds is getting close to the line), gore, sexual nudity, implied kidfucking, all that good stuff that I'm just SURE the U wants distroed over their servers.
This covers all of the SH catalog that is not .org hosted except stuff that hasn't premiered yet, the old BAS demos, stuff that is illegal for general distro, one video that sucks too bad to be publicly offered, one video that I meant to put on this time around, but screwed up and did not, and one video that I may be able to re-encode and get up to some kind of decent standard and put up. Regards, and I'll notify if the space gets ratcheted down and these get taken off.

One last video
Thanks, man; there was a lot of post-prod grinding on that, and it's good to see that people dig it.devilmaykickass wrote:The Excel Saga one is great.
And here's the last vid of the bunch, the one I forgot to put on the disc yesterday:
Dragons of Blood [MPEG1]
anime: Pet Shop Of Horrors
artist: Iced Earth
song: "Dracula" (custom edit)
album: Horror Show
runtime: 5:27
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=9335
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
Violence again. It's pretty pixellated, but there is a human arm hanging out of a fish's mouth, and there are some graphic shots of people mauled to death by rabbits. (No, I'm not shitting you. Serious.)
And #48 is online too, but you have to be 18 to get it....an imposition that probably oughta be on the Excel Sage one above as well.
You Tonight [DivX]
anime: Moonlight Lady
artist: The Dreamside
song: "Mirror Moon"
album: Mirror Moon
runtime: 4:30
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=10562
Why this wasn't on the Donut:
It's a porn video....no matter how serious and pretentious it gets, there's still all that nudity and sex scenes in it.
That should be it; the only other possible candidate I don't think I'll be able to clean up to presentable standard.

Yeah, sure, ideas, no problem. But the time to work on them.........
(good to keep seeing positive reactions....and I haven't got a C&D notice from IT yet either)
