- Game Over Little Mac's Confession
Mukashi mukashi.....a long time ago, there was a magical place called The Eighties, and in it were some cool yet horribly pixellated eight bit video games, like Alex Kid In The Miracle World, Shinobi (in which dragons looked an awful lot like firebreathing ducks), and the first video game with a celebrity endorsement, Mike Tyson's Punch Out! And there was this wonderful musical genre in which people ate bats and spat blood and played really loud guitars and scared parents half to death, and it was called Heavy Metal. These two elements will be what goes down in history as elements of positive cool from this time period.
Anyway, a bunch of former powermetallers from Sweden sick of being lumped in with HammerFall and not heavy enough to play with the local extreme bands gave up playing live and decided to put Heavy Metal together with Old Nintendo. The result was songs like this one, which was an obvious fit for Shin Hatsubai video #44 as Ippo looks surprisingly like Little Mac from the game. Perhaps the only SH 'fighting' video, but already out of the ordinary even so.
Shin Hats Self-Grade: B+. The quality is not always even, or even worthy, and there are some pesky little BakaMX logos messing up some shots, but overall this video flowed in the editing process and flows in playback better than any vid I've done in a long while.
