  • Comments: As a member of the scene I am under somewhat of an obligation to do some kind of black metal video, and only VHD has enough action and evil ambience to match up with the True Norwegian Art. Also, I had a DUTY to make the first original and true black metal AMV after seeing Deadeye's Cradle abomination. C'mon, people, it's not hard to do snappy edits! We're not using 2 VCRs anymore! Despite having to scavenege clips from the Eretzvaju opening (arigatou Jo-chan!!), the vid went together very, very well for a second-run production.

I wish I could have done this one better, because Emperor's song is really good, and I had to use a mix of second-run stuff to make the video. The end would have been much better with a lot of fades instead of just long landscape shots. I guess I'm the first person to do an AMV using Eretzvaju, but I don't think I used quite enough for it to count.

This was Shin Hatsubai video #9, and briefly mentioned in the entry for #8, which is still found in the old Shin Hats profile.

Shin Hats Self-Grade: B-. I don't like mixing animes (even as little as I did here), I don't like the resolution I captured VHD at, and I felt very constrained by the clips I had available, but my editing skills have definitely come up since I made the first vid with this anime. A good but nowhere near great product.
Stats: #clips: 59. avg length: 4.54 sec. total time: 11 hours.

The indirect link on this video has been replaced with one to a more stable and less skeevy mediafire upload. There are some additional notes on the video and the process-philosophy implications of cutting more than one video out of the same source here.
