Next multi-editor project: A whole damn movie. Great idea for this one. Voice acting could use a little work, but overall pretty good.
As far as the microphones and background noise: if you hold your hand flat, then put it by your mouth, that's how far you hold the mike. Because I can't describe things worth crap, that makes for about 3-4 inches away. For background noise, only thing you could do is go to a quiet place and use a mike with a foam cover to prevent wind noise (yes, even those high quality ones use the same mechanism), or go ahead and buy an expensive ass mike with low distortion. But I'm just talking out of my ass here...

I don't know about stopping background noise, but I do know that putting a shirt over the mike when I'm recording helps to soften some of the consonants that would normally end up clipping like hell (P, I think, is the worst). A foam cover would probably also help, but my mike doesn't have one (anymore... I think it used to, then at one point before I started using it it came off, and when I started using it I couldn't figure out how to fit it on without ripping the foam).billy_wires wrote:For background noise, only thing you could do is go to a quiet place and use a mike with a foam cover to prevent wind noise (yes, even those high quality ones use the same mechanism), or go ahead and buy an expensive ass mike with low distortion. Hey that was some pretty sweet stuff/
It gave me the chills in the end.
Very nice.
Only complaints I would have are
-The cutscenes were going kind of too slow for me when the music blasted towards the end
and
-theres a slim white line sticking out on the bottom left region of the screen at around 1:57 to 1:59
Other than that, that trailer was radical. Glad to have stumbled upon this thread.(About time I noticed ryans new AMV
)
Good job to the voice actors; they performed fantastic
and to Ryan for the great editing

There are some very effective noise-removers in professional audio recording software, though I guess not everyone would have access to those. But, by the way of my musician-dad, I can attest that they do a very good job on any sort of sustained background noise, like PC fans and such.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

>> Not even the guy who's doing the video has access to that kinda stuff, so [haha] no I doubt anyone else besides you has that kinda equipment ( I say we all just go to your house and record, but you where all objecting to paying for the damn tickets and foodOtohiko wrote:There are some very effective noise-removers in professional audio recording software, though I guess not everyone would have access to those. Hmm, I can honestly say, the thought has crossed my mind, whether it turns into anything I can't say at this point. But I guess we'll see in the future hmm (that would have to have some wicked encoding on it).Billy_Wires wrote:Next multi-editor project: A whole damn movie. Great idea for this one. I'll tell ya'll, I have alot of work to do before my next one is even close to complete in my mind, I want it to surpass this one in every way shape and form, and you can be sure I'm taking all your opinions into mind and heart.
Thank you all

...well, I bet that would be too plain for your tastes

Thought it would be kind of cool to make this into a multi-editor project of sorts. The logistics to set up a project where you have multiple people both acting AND editing would be kinda nightmarish, but if it worked, that would be sort of cool.

Plus, I really hate to turn this into something I loose creative control over, the real point of me doing this in the first place, was to have full creative control and make something that was in my head...Otohiko wrote:Heh, ever thought of going into fandubs?...Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:Hmm, I can honestly say, the thought has crossed my mind, whether it turns into anything I can't say at this point. If I loose that, then it isnt really being Directed by me is it?
I know it sounds sorta snobish to say something like that, but I really want to keep the directing in my hands. And turning it into a multi[editor] project would really dilute the sense of feeling I try to put into this.
Although, I might one day turn over the star character to someone else, I doubt I'll ever turn over creative control (in my own projects) it might sound greedy, and if it does i'm very sorry. But it's how I feel.
