Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

How do you rate a video that is intentionaly bad? If you're completely horrified, then the creator did his or her job right, so does the video then get a high score? Or is the point to get the low score? Should it lose or gain points everytime the viewer sees something he or she likes?
In short this video did what it set out to do, but I did still kinda felt for the characters so you only get a 2 from me, or is it a 4?

Well then, that's YOUR fault for not submitting better videos! ^^ And I hardly agree that 8 of the 9 were "bad" videos... did you sleep through the contest? :PFilipinoHOOD wrote:You should of went to PortCON 2004 there was a AMV contest and 8/9 AMVs were really bad....really bad.....
It's very tough to score a video that's intentionally bad, especially in areas such as "Capture" and "Sound." It's really up to the reviewer. Honestly, the numbers don't really mean diddly-squat... it's all in the words. They speak louder.

I personally think it is stupid to make bad videos on purpose. Although I am still a new member and can't download videos yet, I still think people should put effort into their videos. Like mine, for instance, they may not be absolutely awesome, but I had fun making them and it took time to finish it. AMVS can be funny, can be serious, etc, but mainly your first music videos would end up being not the best, depending on how long it took you to make it or how much effort you put into it. Bad videos are pointless. If you don't want bad reviews, then don't post them, or just delete your video.
Anyways, to the creator of the "Worst AMV ever", don't expect good reviews on your video, savvy? Work hard, and best of all, have fun making them.

Maybe you didn't read the posts above you. The video isn't bad >quality<, its intended to be funny due to the songs selected and meshing with 'serious' anime footage. Judging by the posts above yours and private e-mails I've gotten, I've actually got a hit on my hands.Chiikaboom wrote:I personally think it is stupid to make bad videos on purpose. I didn't say no one would like it, it was just my opinion. I'll watch your video once I can download them.
