Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Two new videos from a new member.

Post by The 13th Man » Tue Jun 29, 2004 11:29 pm

Hi,

Just wanted to pass word of 2 videos I uploaded to the org.

The first is my first AMV. It's nothin' special and was mainly done to help me get a feel for my new rig. It might be worth a chuckle.

The second is my first attempt at a decent video. I spent about 2 months working on this in my spare time and I am quite pleased with the end results. I hope it brings a laugh.

and with that, I guess its time to start planning my next one...

I liked it the Excel Saga trailer
Very good act sync for a 2nd AMV , but that's because you're not new with video editing right ?

Anyways ..

I oped your FrITOs vid and just want to repeat (If you don't put the op where others can see it) that I thought it was really excellent. I downloaded your other vid this morning but haven't had a chance to check it out until I get done here in the salt mines. 8)

Dude....

Kill Il is just... AWESOME. I love it.

The nekokuneko opening bumper had me laughing out loud like a fool...

I had considered doing this combination a while back, but now there is no point. You just did it, and I hate to say it, but prolly did it better justice then I would have.

You got my respect for sure.

People go download this. It's top of my list for Trailer VCA for the moment. ;)

P.S. - (*shameless plug*) Your sense of humor kinda reminds me of my own. Check out Super (Freaky) Hero (link is in my sig). I don't care if you tell me what you think about it, I just think that you might enjoy it ^_^

Yep. I have a degree in Radio and Television production, so I did do some non-linear editing while in College (though, my school never got its own non-linear machine until after I completed my editing courses)

I did some professional packages for the State legislature when I did my brief internship, but nothing recent until I finally built a machine powerful enough to edit video without choking to death.

Anyway, thanks downloading and I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks for the kind praise. It made my day to see that people were actually entertained by my attempts.

What the heck is a VCA though?

Aritistically and Enjoyment: dude that was awesome! I loved it!

Technically: Some minor quality issues, some of the things you masked into the video (or overlayed) looks sorta pasted, like the sword towards the middle (too lazy to get time code, I think you know what I mean)
But your timing and synching is very good though. Aswell as your lipsynch.

Very good vid for a second(or first real) attempt .

Big , Get this one folks.

Just finished watching the Kill Il trailer, and I've gotta say, it's impressive. Good stuff man, keep up the good work.
