3 months into the project and on too the second disk (take note, the film is being done in the order of the album, not the film version) and i find someone else has already done it...........

The only thought I get from that is *DOH!*

Fuck it, go ahead and finish it. Maybe it will be better than what's already out there! ^_^

I had the same problem when i made my Same Old Song video, but thankfully the other guy's vid sucked hairy monkey balls, since it was made with downloaded material and was totally random in every sense of the word. So i just went on ahead and made it, and put a review up on the other guys video.

Great minds think alike :?: Unless you are copying their scenes and their style, go for it. In all forms of art there are different versions done to a common theme. Yours will be your unique vision of the subject. Good luck.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

DEW IT ;)

Creativity and art won't stand for it if you don't just because it's already been done!

The question isn't did he take your song and anime. The question is did he take your _idea_. I'm sure when you concieved this you had a certain idea of how this video should turn out, and that may still be quite different from what someone else made with the same song and anime.

The other question, even if he did use your idea, is can you do it better?

So if your idea of how Eva - The Wall should be is different, or if it's the same but you think you can do it better, then go for it!

I'm sure if it's a good AMV, people will watch it, and they will like it.

wait, im not saying my idea was stolen, from me, it just so happens someone else had the idea, and managed to finish theirs first............. this kind of thing happens (especially when the directors comentry harps on about the wall and eva working really well together!!!)

anyhow, thanks everyone for the vote of confidence, ill have the first half uploaded by the end of september.........
