  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

it's VERY strange to see the same songs and versions of songs/trailers popping up
Mike may be sorry for posting but I'm not. Consider me a rude jack ass that doesn't know when to shut up, w/e, I'll take. I could just care less. why care about respecting some one's amv announcement thread when they can't even respect the music they use?

Mike has shown maturity time and time again, I don't feel he should have to apologize to anyone. as for me, I don't apologize when I'm not sorry.

And something hit me when Mike said same "versions" just there again. He's been saying it but this just came to mind for me. There's only one SURE way to get the exact same version, and that's the buy the CD and rip the same track.

Answer me this, do you BUY the music you use for your AMVs?
btw, sure fire way to piss me off 10 times more than you have so far if you havn't bought Finch's CD yet

Going back to my original post about how big our music scene is and how easy it is to look into an artist and learn more about the music, if you have these bands CDs you have no excuse to not be original. If you have a bands CDs you have like 12 other songs by this artist you supposedly "like." After owning an entire album by an artist are you still only inspired to create AMVs from the exact same songs Mike uses? If you would just read your CD booklets you may find somehting in the lyrics of another song you like, not to meantion "the band ould like to thank" section. Bands tend to thank artists that have inspired them (which tend to sound similar) and they thank bands they've toured with. reading the thank you section is an excellent way to learn about new bands. Reading the CD boklets in general is an excellent way to learn about our music scene.

I'm saying this honestly trying to teach you, confident that you've PURCHASED these albums and didn't just kazaa the songs that Mike used or worse yet ripped the audio from his videos.

If you have these CDs, seriously read the booklets, this is my advice to you. If you on't have these CDs, pray we never meet. You'll have pissed me off more than you can imagine. Arguing over how much you like our music, and not even contributing $9.99 at a best buy to own your own copy. Infact, just straight up lie to me, it's in your best interest to tell me you own this music.
