I saw this one... I dunno what it was called, but I know it was a USMC release. About man kind fighting a war agianst aliens they called 'The Gods' and they sailed navel like battle ships across the deserts of mars! O.o;

Bodywise she's like 17 or 18, true age wise she's like 9, but she is an android. (Ryuga is actually 3, but he looks to be early 20's) (is it because of her small chest size that makes you think lolicon? There's alot of funniness that arises out of this, mostly jealousy of the teacher's "assets")
And I still think you didn't give Mahoro enough chance, besides, its a Gainax show, its bound to get weird and confusing, i.e. the Gainax mindfuck.

Macross Plus (the 4 part OVA or otherwise a movie) was pretty damn good. Its the only Macross I've seen though, for all I know the rest is crap.

No offense or anything, but I'm not gonna buy that claim until you can safely say you've seen all of Gundam and Macross
I mean, how can you say it's all awful by only sampling a bit of it (unless you're going by animation quality, in which case I should slap you here and now...you can still make an anime look nice and have a story that's utter ass...)

Mahoromatic would be great if it was lolicon candy unfortunatley like all Gainix shit it gets wierd and the ending of the series has nothing to do with the original plot so I would advise people only to watch the endings which have bouncing little girls.
