*Can*, yes, with varying degrees of difficulty based on source format and your editing gear.
*May*, technically not, but Phade's not going to come through your door with a railgun if you do anyways.
*Should*, probably not, for reasons described above.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

The ever-gray area of AMV ethics....
To download, or not to download. If the series you're using is licensed and already available on the shelf at your local Best Buy on shiny DVDs, you SHOULD NOT use downloaded footage. It's bad quality and bad ethics. Just save up your money and buy it. You'll thank yourself later.
However....
If the series you're using as no American release yet (such as One Piece *curses FUNimation*), then downloading may be your only option. Other than official R2 import DVDs (which are dearly expensive; $50 and up), your only other options are bootleg DVDs, which are usually atrocious quality anyway. You might as well download it and filter to hell. At least your money won't go supporting bootlegging.

For your second question, you can change the region settings of your computer DVD player. Just be aware of the fact that there's a SET number of times you can change it.Final Saiyyan wrote:well i ve got some anime tapes, dvds etc but my computer doesnt play american dvds.
Q1. is there any way i can get them from the tapes! ( probably not!)
q2. can you get computer dvd players that take region 1 's.
