Most Endearing Characters Ever!

Theres a nice little section of this site that allows each of us to list our top 10 favorite anime. After the results are compiled, we get a pretty good idea of what are generally the most popular animes. Many people (like myself) watch anime for emotional reasons. A big part of whether or not we become emotionally engaged in an anime has to do with our attachment to characters. So for research purposes (possible future AMV), I'd like to know who everyone's most endearing characters are. Keep in mind this is not "top ten favorite characters," rather it is the "top ten most emotionally impacting characters."

well i do think it's hard not to get attached to characters that appeal to our emotional senses. so in that i would say.

Endearing characters are rarely my favorites. When I hear 'endearing' I think of the characters who are sweet - the ones who get that 'aww' response from me - and I dislike watching vids like that. Maybe one or two, but it bores me very quickly. Still, I do have a list of endearing characters - I like them, but I wouldn't want to watch amvs featuring them (with a few exceptions concerning storyline and other characters involved as well).

Maybe 3 of those would make it onto my top 20 favorite character list, but it would be close. As far as amvs are concerned, endearing characters aren't as attractive as dynamic ones. Not for me.
