I'm sorry, but two fifteen year olds in that situation, is just sick and wrong! Of course, this is coming from a guy who can look at hot chicks all day, and is only turned on when someone starts talking blown GM small blocks and ballistics.
As for Kensuke piloting one of the S2 equipped Eva series, it's about bloody time! Maybe that nerd can knock Asuka's confidence down a notch or two. However, given the implied nature of this alternate timeline, Kensuke would probably be piloting Unit-04, which originally self-destructed in Nevada (the whole S2 engine Sea of Dirac crap). Unit-04 was the stepping stone which led to the mass prodcution Eva series final design.
Also, it would be pretty stupid of Seele or NERV to put a human pilot in charge of that much power. If you think about how difficult it must be to control the ground-based Evas already through synching with them, how much harder would it be to master shape-shifting into the flight mode, monitoring the S2 engine output, AND controlling the morphing Lance of Longinus?
But I'm glad to see Kensuke finally gets his wish. He's probably the Eva pilot most enthusiastic about his mission.

I always thought that he would pilot the Eva Unit 4 as well. And, since it is an alternate reality, who's to say they're not all equiped with S2 engines? Or they all could still be battery powered.Toecutter wrote:.

Also, none of the Evas are being supported by those docking braces....
