I suppose I would agree with this to a small extent, although I'm more interested to know that I've brightened someone's 4 minutes with my AMV than caring about how high it rates or how many people have DL-ed it. Of course, if the video makes you vomit or put a gun to your head, don't tell me, K?
...although if you did do the latter, I guess you wouldn't be able to tell me anyway.

Actually it's kind of pathetic.
I shoot for the moon, and I care what people think about my videos, if you dont care what people think about your videos, then maybe you shouldnt be here :D?
It's not "PleasepleaseIwannabepopular.org." It's "AnimeMusicVideos.org." Which one of us is more on target with the point of the site, which is to make and share AMVs? Hmm.

Nobody even reads subject headings anymore, do they...

General Thought:

There's a difference between wanting people to like your video, and being 'all up ons' where it ends up on a scale :|

I think Pie was on to something with his statement. I personally do feel nice if someone likes my video. But I could honestly care less if someone happens to not like it, or care about a bunch of numbers attached to the video that, in the end (oh, multi-level pun there), don't mean anything.
Let's put it this way, if 99 people don't like my video, that's fine; everyone is entitled their opinion, and you can't please everyone all the time. A hobby isn't about pleasing other people. But if 1 person aside from those 99 does like my video, then that means a lot to me. On the flip side of the same coin, if I detest my own video, 100 people telling me they love it probably won't change my opinion. It still means a lot to me that they like it, and I appreciate it, but I can still think my video sucks anyway.

That's my wooden nickel for this topic in general.

Not-so-general thoughts:

Nemo, within the dozen or so posts you've made in this thread I heard you say what amounts to 'Euphoria=greatest vid, deserves to be in the top 10%', and then turn around and say 'Euphoria wasn't that special, it lacked heart and has too many special effects.' and then go right back to talking about Euphoria being great. You make so little sense it's not even funny anymore.

I've always thought of the top 10% and the other ranking lists as a way to provide some examples of good videos in a pretty much democratic fashion. The list is nothing more than a big 'we recommend this video' section, like in a movie store. It's for newbies to see examples, and for other members to find 'good' videos that they may not have seen (I put good in quotes because the term good is subjective, not because I think the videos on the top 10% aren't good). Nobody wins anything for getting the top spot on any list, except maybe an ego trip.

And before the required opinion amount changed on the top 10%, videos fell, rose, and moved around at an almost daily rate. You seem to care soooo much about a video that's not yours (a video you've in turns said is lackluster, and wonderful) and where it ends up, and so far there doesn't seem to be a real reason why you care. I think that Sarah (and me, for that matter) can't see what Logic train you're riding, if you're riding one at all.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

The point being that Euphoria is a two sided coin, it's not that hard to understand, it's great but it's not, I think the point im trying to make is,

I admire Koop for putting all that effort into it, and for that alone I think it deserve's to be in the top 10%.

But weather or not it's actually GOOD enough to be in the top 10% I don't know.

THAT'S my point.
I thought B4U Die sucked. Will you shut up and go away now?
That's cool if you thought it sucked *shrugs* I have nothing against other peoples opinion's, I think ALL my video's suck with the exception of maybe 1 or 2, I think most creator's are pretty unhappy with how their video's turn out in the end, you always have the lingering feeling in the back of your head.

Could I have done better? Could I have done something diffrent? Why did I release that at all?

But I guess if we all surcame to this feeling, there would be no videos on the org would there?
