Just an opinion - mainley DBZ amvs

Please dont get so heated up of this, my intention was not to start a flame fest but to try share with people what i thought about some videos and why i think that they are good/not good in an attempt to help people improve, hopeing that they would pick up on it and take it into consideration.

I didn't make my comments to make people mad, if people take it personally then thats their problem. People really take statements to offensively around here, also they insult people over the internet which shows their cowardess. If your gonna say something to somebody then do it face to face, that way people can beat the shit out of you and make you regret it. Back on topic, there are a few exceptions to the rule but 99% of DBZ videos suck, and thats my personal opinion.

[since the DBZ amv is so damn common it's downright average...] I'm with MAS on this one, those two are like needles in haystacks. Very few people can "PERFECTLY" execute a GREAT DBZ amv. My problem with this music video type is that the anime itself is soo repulsive to me that I just avoid it... [shrug...]

Why? Because I have a choice... The fact of the matter is, most DBZ amvs sux0rs the b0x0rs...

The problem is that he didn't say "99%" the first time -- it was, paraphrased, "I don't expect to ever see a good DBZ video".

Pedantic? Yes. But was it necessary to make the counterpoint? Yes. I've yet to see one anime that you couldn't potentially make something interesting out of.

Just because something is heavily used and often abused doesn't make it unusable -- which is what MAS was arguing in the first place, before he changed his argument. Hell, look what happened with Arima Shinjikun.

Must agree with Trythil here. MAS, by all forms of actual logic, loses this argument. I swear, sometimes the closed-mindedness of this community disgusts me. You can make a good AMV with literally any anime if you have a good idea and good means of execution. To say a certain anime is incapable of producing a good AMV is nothing short of bigoted.

Even with the 99% of DBZ vids that genuinely suck, it's refreshing and uplifting when you come across the 1% that DON'T, proving that not all DBZ fans are Linkin Park-worshipping zombies.

Case in point No.3: Turn the Page by dbz_doomrider. This is easily one of THE best DBZ vids ever made, right up there with "Fathers and Sons" IMO. (And to think it took an opinion exchange to get me to download it....Teaches me not to judge an AMV by its anime)

Wow, i haven't seen neither of the mentioned dbz amvs. both were great though. there's more emotion in the two of those then two whole seasons of dbz.
