To be honest, I didn't think much of this. (the Ginta vid)

Yeah, it's funny. But all the laughs come from the source audio. The presence of lip-synched anime characters doesn't really add anything.

That being said, I was in the room when this played at SC and AE, and people were laughing their asses off.

Ginta video:

I'm with the purple pole cat on this. While the audience and even myself were laughing at the video, the video isn't an "AMV" and probably shouldn't have been allowed to enter the contest (no music, per the rules). That aside, it was in the SakuraCon contest and these kind of videos very rarely make me giggle let alone laugh out loud so good job on that.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I'm frankly surprised that it's as well received as it is. But there is more to it than just lipsynching - people are going to be laughing at the things that pop up on the sides, or the computer spelling out "vampire". So it isn't *just* the audio, though I agree that's the biggest part.

I've got to agree with the other posters. There's not much actual "editing" to speak of in the "Ginta" video. If you watch it with the sound off, it's 99% clips of talking heads, which anybody with some dvd's and a timeline could do.

That being said, even if the editing and lip synch was awesome, the audio itself makes me want to pull out my eardrums and stick them in a blender. One of *the* most annoying voices in all of creation.

This just didn't work for me on any level.

PS...it's spelled "Nosferatu".
