  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Then that guitar thingies popped up and went dun dun DUN dun then those box thingies went zooming by and twirling around and shit. Oh god, then the hexagons popped up and I was like 'I just got a stiffie'. Then there was the circle with those thingies going around and I blew my load.

Not really, I could care less who didn't/doesn't enjoy the video. All that matters to me is who did, and if I liked it. It's one of those videos for sure. As far as it having potential to be more...yeah I could've maybe focused less on beat sync and went for really bizzare effects maybe, but I kind of wanted a balance with some sleek editing and goofy ass scenes.

I look at this song kind of like a joke within itself, it's a college whiteboy rapping about essentially living like a bum and getting everything good in life while doing it. It's sort of dorky but the lyrics being as good as they are keep you interested, and the beat is funky. FLCL always seemed to take itself either too seriously or too silly, it's usually 2 extremes. So yeah, don't know if that clears anything up or explains it for anybody but that's why I went for. :P

I'm continuing the 3/5 trend. It was good during the second half, when the scene selection made sense and there seemed to be more conceptual cohesion.
