Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

From what I've of Akross so far, this is definately one of the better videos in the contest so far
maybe i'm a little fps sensitive but I felt like the motion in the opening sequence wasnt so smooth. Assuming you time remapped that stuff, next time interpolate when time remapping. Other than that, I really enjoyed this video.
Here is what I like:
pace, effects (you often used some neat colours or this cool 3D blur for the typography), typography
Of course this is subjectiv and no shame on anybody who likes it, but this video just doesn't convince me. I still think that there lies some objectiv truth in my opinion.
What I critic:
The concept. What's the point? I don't blame people who like videos for having pretty pictures in it, but this alone doesn't convince me at all. So right at the beginning we stare into a universe for 1 minute. ~okay~
Than we saw random characters watching random things and panoramas. He? Come on. If they would continue to stare into the sky than it would be okay for me. Things bug me like the bleach characters looking into a sunrise, people kissing each others etc...
"The Universe Inside Of Us"
This just screams: RANDOM PHRASE! Inside of us? I see two character emotions in the whole video: amazement and romance (kiss scene). That's it! That's nothing at all that justifies a universe in us that should be enormous and detailed. All you showed two us are two sides of humanity.
They are watching something outside people. They are not looking into each others eyes and see whole universes or a fountain of emotions. As said: They're just staring at the sky.
It could have worked this way:
Universe->Zoom out of her eye->Zoom out of tv->zoom out of window .... ->zoom back into her eyes->showing the universe
Example of a concept that cleary shows something big and connected (the variety of our world). That's a great concept with random scenes:
Oh it could've need some higher bitrate for detailed scenes with grain. Like... the universe scenes, but it's okay as it is now.

Was I the only one hoping and expecting a cataclysmic, perhaps even an apocalyptic supernova to occur in the video which would result in a somewhat ironic turn of events....?
....Yeah I'm probably the only one
Spoiler :
Yes, for people from the tube, this is the exact same comment I left on this guys video when it was upped there
Anyways, it was visually pleasing and I generally do like slow, relaxing stuff but personally this felt kind of meh. I guess I've seen this concept many times before and this video didn't really offer anything new to me in terms of how the concept was presented. It kind of felt like I was watching an anime version of those atmospheric and wondrous astronomy commercials on the Discovery Channel (<3 the Discovery Channel...).
So overall the visuals were great and I liked the overall atmosphere but the concept felt a little dry.
