Dreams Of Yuu : Fatal Frame / Roy Orbison
This is the "sequel" to my other horror/romance Fatal Frame video, Crimson Butterfly, which is over a year old now.
I was pretty surprised that no-one else has done an AMV to In Dreams.
I encoded this is xvid because the h264 made the color quantization issues a lot worse. FF is tricky like that because of all the dark and murky scenes.
Hope you enjoy it.

So... I wasn't sure what to expect, given the musical artist - and I have to say...
I couldn't take my eyes off of the screen. o.o
I mean, this video's fun factor is diminished horribly for people who don't know the game, but it still makes your eyebrows creep up to your hairline as you watch it. This is the perfect example of a kind of video I've always wanted to do: the lyrics are practically written for the source, but the style of the song is wildly inappropriate (or vice versa). The idea of that kind of video has always fascinated me, and you've given me just that with this one.
This also gets props for being horror, romance, and (although I know you didn't label it as such) comedy, all at the same time, to varying degrees.
Win, dude. Win.

Excellent clip selection. I really mean it. Not only it went with the song (which is a basic thing, I know), it was actually clever and had a real story it 0.0 Easy to follow, yet multi-layered and emotional to a certain extent. I'm not going to say any more about it because it'd require a few more views but excellent job
The flow was also very seamless. The fades worked fine and the flashes towards the end of the video were called for. I think the pacing could have a been a bit tad faster though. The scenes are clocking in for a bit too long, imo. But otherwise, fine job with the flow.
I'm impressed by this. The song was absolutely horrible though. I don't think I could say I'm gonna keep this (Seriously, I hate the song -.-) It was also slightly too.. simplistic? for my taste. In a "oh, that was clever!... but so what?" kind of a style
It wasn't really enjoyable for for those reasons. But the clip selection and the way you bended your sources was truly awesome
4/5 (could be higher maybe? Dunno, the song is really distracting for me -.-)

I really loved this and not only because of the fantastic story line or the wicked song choice but because of the idea you had^^! I kind of wondered what you could do with that song, but I would have never thought of that kind of stuff when I downloaded the AMV, because I am not familiar with the footage too much ^^! I loved this and I will keep it. Original 10/10 and I want MORE!!
